I hope everyone had a good xmas/new years I myself was very busy

I got out on to the trails a couple days, got stuck a couple times, and had some rather expensive breaks over the weekend...... in the process of wheeling I snapped a birfield on the short side.... not a huge deal but still around a 1000 in parts when its all said and done..... the next part we discovered today.... it appears I have some abnormal wear on my factory gears starting to appear.... not what I overly wanted to do so soon on the Lexus but I guess 4.88's are coming now tooo......

Whew. Good day today in the shop! Shock relocate is done paint is drying and truck goes back together tomorrow

 

How'd you guys end up measuring for the shocks?

Nah made sure there was extra shock left with the axle pulling the leafs down all the way and had em angled back enough that when they stuff the shocks won't bottom out.

also mont, very jelly of that shop you get to play in. if i had access to all of those air tools and nice welder and space i would be experimenting and building a whole lot more stuff, and it wouldnt look like poo either lol!

 

It's not that far back. In fact it's close to stock. A bit more tho. The further back you go then the bigger shock you can fit. We did it to make as much use out of the foxes he has.

Yea I'm pretty lucky. You have seen it. Since then more goodies have appeared. Nice welding table, drill press, tranny jack, and plasma cutter is showing up next week. Between that shop and my dads..can pretty much do anything. Just need a tube bender.

I love it.

I miss being able to do stuff all the time.

Tim has also since added 2 more vintage cars to the garage too haha 66 thunderbird and 55 truck

 

hm, guess the picture makes it look like it is angled more than it is. if its pretty close to stock, then cool, makes sense.

 

Yea it'll look better with both shocks on there. Turned out good tho.
