Thanks only had the mini one with me, and i burnt up the controll board on it just a few days earlier lots of people around though, and one came up to us saying she got some pictures of it. was nice enough to email them to me

Ya it'll be a nice boom for TX... and in all honesty I didn't think Texas would get the nod. There were some other major interests vying for their home states and the Texas submission had no such lobbying support (since there isn't much unmanned industry here). I think the vastness of the range and areas is what helped seal the deal for the state.

Sure, lessons are $75/hour and I have a 40 hour week minimum... typical courses last 12 weeks.

you think it's a coastline thing? I used to follow government/military operations/restrictions a lot closer when i worked for the american b ureau of shipping, and it seemed like anytime there was something up for approval that could in any way be related to homeland security, even if it was land based, stares/areas with larger coast lines took the win. granted i was working with military ships, so water was vitally important, but even the none marine related issues were typically won by non land-locked states.
