Shocks work good. Did some medium speed racing and flexing. Fun day. Beautiful sunset.

Cause he bought frame plates years ago. And it's overkill for what he does anyways.

 

Plate on the outside should be more than adequate for his use. Boxing is much more difficult and time consuming, particularly because there are more 'structural obstacles' and the gas tank would likely have to be removed. Especially since the section of frame that needs reinforcement the most is right along that bend.

 

Honestly, full boxing probably isn't necessary at all. The main reason I boxed mine on the back was for a better mounting surface for the crossmember/receiver.



The weakest section is at that bend and bears more of the weight.

 

I've seen people get bends in the frame from adding heavy bumpers with swing outs and whatever other stuff. IMO its necessary after a certain point. I'd like to eventually do it, wouldn't hurt.

 

I'm going to try to plate a bunch of mine and probably box in it a few spots like where the rear hangers are.

 

Unless your jumping it with lots of rear weight. Probably fine just plating it for trails and lots of weight.
