    ...

Im having second thoughts about what i actually want to do with my life when i get out of school..

I was set on Law Enforcement, but Firefighting wouldnt be a bad option either, im not sure how 4 year degree will benefit me in either field intially beside me being able to go into the FBI,CIA, and similar LE fields later on in my career.

Any FF in here want to provide me some insight on going to college first before going into FF?

PS. Richard, im sigging your ADD rant lol

the 4 year degree would allow you to rank better as some ranks requires degrees. here in Arlington they won't even consider you unless you have a bachelors.

    thanks lol

nothing wrong with first gens. ive driven plenty of older cars but i like features that newer ones have. plus i just hate doing that maintenance you need to do in order to get a 10 year old vehicle to be close to stock.

You still gotta do things like air filter, plugs, wires, fluids, etc.

If you buy something 10 years old, you should do everything right away so you know it was done recently.

I actually wanted an 01-04' double cab when we were truck shopping 3 years ago, but the deal on my 05' DCSB was too good and got that instead. 130K and still kicking along just fine, no problems and the 4.0 is nice too.

Eh I just prefer to have electronic locks and windows. Yes abs is annoying but it's not anything that's gonna bother me unless a building up a race car.

Main thing I was trying to get at is a ten year old car even with that low of miles but for that price will still need bushings (rubber will rot) and other things done that isn't necessary with a new car.

This 50 posts per page thing is kind of nice. Especially in the funny pictures thread.

I guess it's 40 on here. Tappatalk is 50. Go to your "control panel", then "edit options", then about half way down theres a drop down box for "Number of Posts to Show Per Page".

Just BS with em... I've found the farther off topic you get them the better your chances are. The internship I just got done with I interviewed for 4 different groups at once... Me and the guy who ended up being my boss got onto the topic of motorcycles and I walked out of there knowing if I got an offer it would be from him and it was.

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.

It will help with te testing for sure. Also the people who do the hiring like to see degrees. On every department I have worked for you can't promote above an engineer without a BA or a masters if you want to be a chief Some day. It helps go get an education then go to work. It will make life easier in the fire service. I did it with no BA but it's harder to get picked up.

Truth... Or you do like me and drive it till the starter goes out and now it made its way to the dealer on a tow truck to be fixed. :D luckily a member on this forum is the Toyota mechanic doin the work. Because it's goig to be a lot all fluids, brakes, rotors, it has an oil leak that needs fixed. If it comes in under what I'm hoping I will prolly supercharge it now as well.
