True No Drill Front License Plate Bracket!

Lol. No, man! It's all good!

 

Step 1: LOCATE THE TWO PRE-MADE DIMPLES ABOVE THE FRONT BUMPER.

 

Step 2: ALIGN THE BRACKETS TO THE PREMADE DIMPLES AND HOLD BRACKETS WITH THE ARM(HOOK) FACING IN.

 

STEP 3: SLIGHTLY LEAN THE BRACKET FORWARD SO THAT IT IS FACING DOWN. PLACE AND HOLD THE PART OF THE BRACKET, THAT'S MARKED WITH BLUE TAPE, AGAINST THE TOP OF THE GRILL.

 

STEP 4: PLACE YOUR PALM AGAINST THE BRACKET AND PUSH IT IN WITH A SLIGHT DOWNWARD MOTION UNTIL THE ARM SNAPS INTO PLACE.

 

AND that's basically it! Now you just need to screw on your license plate with the stainless steel screws and washers that came with the brackets.


Avoid testing the strength of the bracket before the license plate is installed. The bracket’s true strength is revealed when the license plate is on the bracket.

Thanks, I received mine but haven't install as the truck is in the body shop. Has anyone install theirs yet?? Photos??

 

I hope to hear from others soon. Negative or positive so I can make any adjustments to the bracket if I need to. Any comments would be appreciated.

 

I was finally able to confirm that the brackets work perfectly with 2014 Tacoma models as well. Went down to the dealer and made an actual trial installation with the salesman.

 

I will let you know tomorrow when I get my truck back from the body shop.

Just put mine on my 13'. Easy as pie to install and looks clean. Doesn't allow the plate to rub on the bumper and doesn't look like anything will leave wear marks on the plastic. I will post pics asap.

Btw, great communication from seller and fast shipment from Hawaii to Ohio.

Well here are some photos of the bracket with and without a plate.

3 things....

1.) When installing, the hooks on back will pop off if the bolts are cranked down too tight.

2.) Make sure the holes on the plate and bracket line up or it will pop off as well.

3.) Paint on the bracket does flake off but who cares you won't see it.

Overall a great product for the price. After all, drilling into the bumper sucks.

I don't even have a 12-14 model but I just wanted to comment that it looks awesome. We dont' need front plates in KS. Dealer tried drilling holes in my bumper but I stopped them just in time. Great looking design.

 

Unfortunately Ohio does and it does give the pigs reason to pull you over when out late at night.
