    I am new to the forum and wanted to voice how great this community has pulled together and offered such support for Bill and Michelle. I have not read through all the posts, but did read the last one from Bill.

    Bill - I recently lost my father to cancer, he passed July 15 (last week). He was battling cancer for 3 years and was recently placed in hospice care his last three weeks before passing. His last week we admitted him back in the hospital as we felt it was a better place for him.

    My heart goes out to you and your family as I know the hard times you guys are going through. I am new to this community, but please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have regarding my experience with hospice care, pain management, etc.

    PT6(Eric) and I visited with Bill yesterday afternoon. We enjoyed shootin' the bull in the garage and Bill looks as well as could be expected. He's definately not resting well as is expected. I wasn't able to go in and see Michele due to my allergies and sinuses acting up.

    Bill said Michele is sleeping alot and she is comfortable. The continued thoughts and prayers are very important and mean alot to this family.

    When things in our own lives seem to be going well, it's real easy to just let a situation like this just drift by the wayside. But Bill and Michele can't let it just drift away, they are wrapped up in it by the minute.

    After yesterday, I'm starting to understand this 'nesting' that Bill has spoken of.

    It's very important for me to tell you something else. Bill said that Michele kinda drifts in and out all through the day and when someone is going to stop by and visit or call, she doesn't always perk up or get too excited. But Bill said of the few people or groups that stop and visit, TacomaWorld people and support is one that always gets her going and excites her!! I wish I could put into words the effect you all have had on Bill, and especially Michele.

    I want to encourage everyone to keep up the support, your doing remarkable things for this family and many other people that are affected in a positive way by this community.

    A few of you that send brief random texts to Bill will be blessed one day in possibly the same way you are blessing him. Their is one man in particular that Bill looks forward to seeing a text from every day. (He told me this brother and you know who you are.:))

    One other thing, they are all very touched by the gifts that TacomaWorld has showered upon them. Bill was astonished how each and every person in his family has been able to latch onto one or two of the gifts that have been sent, so in essence everyone has been blessed individually by the gifts in a special way. The girls were very excited to receive their necklaces and loved them.

    Our Father, Who art in heaven
    Hallowed be Thy Name;
    Thy kingdom come,
    Thy will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.
    Give us this day our daily bread,
    and forgive us our trespasses,
    as we forgive those who trespass against us;
    and lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil. Amen.

    Hail Mary, full of grace.
    Our Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women,
    and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
    Jesus.
    Holy Mary, Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners,
    now and at the hour of our death.
    Amen.

    I am so sorry to hear this. I know it is rough but faith and prayer always help. I am quoting this one from our daily bread prayer magazine "To survive the storms of life, be anchored to the rock of ages".
