The $350 or so I spent on sliders was better than the 2k to repair the rocker panels. The long wheel base hasn't been an issue yet, but we avoid certain trails because one guy in our group has an older tundra, long AND wide.

 

haha there is always that guy in the group. I don't know how you DCLB people get your trucks into the places you do lol. PNW trails are definitely not meant for them, but I have seen them fit down some ridiculous trails. Can not wait for my single cab crawler to be on the trails. Absolutely perfect size and the least amount of sheet metal to worry about possible haha.

Rock sliders are beyond worth their weight in gold. My take damage every time I'm wheeling. I can't begin to imagine the damage they have saved the body from taking.

 

Sliders will definitely be coming soon once I start fixing my truck. My friend was gonna build me some but then I lost my job and called that project off. Now with me starting my new job Monday I'll be able to start on them again! And ya don't get my wrong I love my DCLB but it makes for a hell of a time on the trails. But it makes it I just have to decide how far I push it lol it's pretty fun trying to get that thing through the trails around here but I love a challenge

Its up Tonga ridge which is half way up Stevens pass. I believe it's the first right hand turn after you pass skykomish! Im in Monroe so urs about a 40 min drive for me!

 

I was on Tonga Ridge this past summer. That's a beautiful area. Lots of look out points.

What a coincidence. I saw your convoy last Sunday while I was mountain biking close to four corners in trabuco area. Where did you guys go? Main divide? Is that through Silverado Canyon?

 

Haha sweet! Silverado was the original route but found that when we got there, the Ranger closed the gate that morning due to high winds. So we backtracked and headed south to Ortega to Blue Jay Campground and connected to Main Divide Truck Trail from the south end, then went on to Indian Truck Trail.

 

Was it doable for a stock 4wd TRD OR truck? Was that drive announced here in TW? I need to join you guys next time.

 

Main Divide is easy, stock 4WD can do it no problem. This was just organized with a few buddies, next time we go I'll let you know.

The name escapes me but it was up by Cle Elum, WA. it was a hunting trip that turned more into an exploring trip/shooting for a few hours.
