I have a 2013 Sport dc LB and mine was 1" low in the rear, fronts set at 1.75, Bilsteins all around. Also have the 4 leaf spring, so you can say it should work. I went by what everyone said on here and it wasn't the same. I would just do the 1.75 on the front and see what you rear comes out to be and go from there. Do all four Bilsteins from Downsouth

You definitely need to adjust the headlights. It's easy to do. Hell, I got bright lighted all the time when I was stock.

Not true, my lows are still aimed below the mirror at a reasonable distance behind people. I never touched the stock headlight adjustment after the lift and have never gotten shit from anyone for having what they think are my highs on.

He's referring to the guy that said he was being flashed by oncoming cars. I've experienced the same thing in both tacomas that I've had. It was worse in my 2011 when I had it at 2.5". I had to lower the beams about 3". I used the method out of the DSM. I only get flashed about a quarter of the times in my 13. I haven't adjusted these lights yet.

I guess all of the headlights from the factory have a different degree of adjustment done to them. I should kind of had realized given that either these headlights are being tuned by robotics operated, and or adjusted by humans or humans themselves. No two trucks are ever alike. I do gotta say though mine with and without the lift are perfect either way.

Well all these trucks may not be set consistently, but it is common among this club that the factory setting of these trucks seems to be high. Maybe Toyota has addressed this issue with the newer models?

That is not too far outside the realm of possible. It seems like they addressed several known issues internally at the factory to attempt to make the newer second gens a little more "user friendly" and tougher then the earlier second gens. One that I can think of off the top of my head is placing the 4 leaf TSB leaf springs on the trucks from the very get go on certain models. Hey at least they are making a solid attempt to remedy some of the known issues they have had for a long time, and for that I commend them.

I finally looked at the rear leaves on my 2013 base 4x4 ACLB and there's only 3. Looks like I'll be doing 5100's on all four corners, 1.75 in the front and 1" blocks in the rear. I will only be doing some light trail wheeling and camping mostly. Larger tires will come in a few months after I wear out the stockers.

For reference this is mine with 1.75" in the front and 1" in the rear on 265/75-16.

Didn't list it as tapered. I couldn't tell if they are. I didn't install them, had a shop do it since I didn't have working jack stands (one is jammed in the low setting and can't get it lose) or the deep welled sockets I needed. I wouldn't think at 1 inch that a taper would be needed. :notsure: But no vibes.

    Here is what I ordered.

Any of you guys with the "Bro Lean" notice a decrease in stopping ability after you raised the front? Seems like ever since I lifted mine up in the front the truck doesn't stop as well. Had the brakes lock up a few times and slide in the rain trying to stop quick. I also put on new tires and wheels at the same time so maybe its just the larger tires I'm not used to. I was just wondering though if the stiffer front end didn't dive when you brake if that diminished some braking ability?

It's a solid block, non tapered. Got it from Toytec. One thing I had to do was cut about a 1-1.5" off the u bolts. They were entirely too long for the factory leaf and block. They would have accommodated a much larger block or block plus an AAL.

2nd gens have an intelligent brake proportioning valve. It uses an inclinometer to tell if you are carrying a load and adjust in more rear brake (less when empty).

If you are nose up you have more rear brake than you can use empty

I just wanted to put the headlight alignment issue to rest. I had to turn my headlights down ( I read other did not, so I guess all Tacoma are not the same). Prior to my increase in tire size & 1.75" lift in the front...I masked off my beam pattern against the wall in my garage with tape....obviously beam pattern was higher after the changes...I did not notice a change from my driving perspective. I tried driving around that night and was "flashed" several times...which never happens. I moved my headlights down to the original masking tape patterns on my wall....haven't been flashed since.
Again this goes back to taking simple before measurements and see for yourself.

Since I put the 1" block In, all the flashing stopped.
