Put in the rear diff, I'd agree with you. In the front diff, run the truck in 4WD w/o the rear drive shaft and I'd think it'd make for a fun drift truck. :D

My experience with a locker up front, I wouldn't want to be stuck with a nonselectable locker using the truck as a DD and having to occasionally use 4WD on the roads. I'd have way less heartburn about popping one into the rear diff. They serve a purpose, increasing traction on a budget.

Too bad you pulled the 12V outlet. Could've just plugged it in there. :D

I had a few words from my neighbor the day after I was cutting the old U-bolts off with an angle grinder at midnight...haha. The 21 hours of daylight made me forget what time it was lol.

Also, what's going on with that e-brake cable?

that is a really good question

the e brake lever should be well below the leaf and parallel with the other one

i wonder if he took that side axle out and put it back in wrong? but then i dont think his breaks would work right. still looks like it needs to be rotated clock wise

Well mine goes over the leaf packs, I think it changed after 02, not sure though.

But the ones I've seen that go under are not crooked like his looks in the picture earlier. It looks like it goes around the driver side shock or something.

I remember those days, two years living in Haines. The left drum is from a 98 and the right one is stock 04. Works fine for a rig job, I'll fix it when i track down an e-locker for a swap.

i believe you are right. after 02 like you said they went lower on the hub. i know that because my hubs are from an 04 and my e brake cable wasnt long enough to reach them because it was a different design

Anybody have the dust boot on their OME shocks fall down? My passenger side rear boot fell down and no longer covers the shaft of the shock. Happened probably a week or two after installing it...

If your thinking of dual batteries with one on the passenger side..do the PVC pipe tank. Cheap and easy.

Last night during my hunt for a P0172 I took out my upstream o2 sensor to clean and swap with my downstream o2 and noticed it had a loose nut, well went to re-install the o2 and the stud busted. Used one of my old framing clamps and clamped that some bitch down to get me to work. Getting new stud welded on today but what an ordeal. Cel hasn't returned but does go into open loop mid shift some times and causes a stumble.
