If you've only heard of it, you were doing pretty well as a kid. I got the first hand experience a few times growing up...

Used some info to start a bill me later account when I was too young to make one on my own... affected his credit score and stuff... I really wish I had saved up to buy whatever stupid shit I bought instead of doing that, but I wasn't thinking. Many years later it came back to bite me in the ass.

    Red is right: Dumass!

I like the similar idiots in BMWs with low pro tires and xdrive fishtailing all over the place. 495 from exit 18 south is just hard pack snow. Lots of tards driving too fast and skidding around.

That's pretty shitty that he's holding that over your head. Granted, you were wrong but whatever, kids make mistakes. Doubt you'd actually end up getting into any real trouble if you were a minor when you did it and you're 19 now...

My dad gave me a similar speech when I buried my '94 Nissan to the hubs out on the back 40. I figured 32" mud tires meant that I could go through anything. Wrong. He had to twitch me out with 40 feet of 5/16th's chain and a 22 ton tractor-mounted log winch.

Yeah and I've been giving him payments every week. I sold my tires to pay him. I'm selling my bike to pay him. I'm working 2 jobs. It's not like I'm not trying to pay off my debt. It's ridiculous.

Lmao gotta air down those tires

    Ha, it wouldn't have mattered.
The back side of that field floods every spring and it typically doesn't firm up enough for even cattle grazing until May. Silly me tried to go through it right after the frost came out of the ground.
I was sitting on the frame as soon as I hit the mud. Then I made it worse by trying to get out
Couldn't even get close with the tractor, hence the winch and 40 feet of chain.

Looking back, it was incredibly dumb, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. :notsure:

And driving into a pond seemed like a good idea to me too... It's always fun though!

That truck has to be all sorts of f-ed up. I never saw a damage report be being frozen in like that thing can't be good for anything.

I feel bad for that truck. I didn't follow the thread, but by the looks of it they were either going to destroy the truck trying to get it out or just have to leave it through the winter until the ground thaws.

Initially, it still ran and drove but I would bet good money things will start failing much, much sooner than they should. I went back and read a bit and I guess they only broke the speed sensor and one shock tugging it out. They used diesel heaters and went on a warm day so the ice wasn't as bad and used chainsaws on the ice.

GoPro guys (yea you Evan...and anyone else with one): any recommends for video software. I know about the free GoPro studio but wanted to know if there's something else more preferable. I'm also now stuck deciding what to do PC-wise since XP support goes away in April. My current machine is 3.6 ghz but only has 2 gig RAM and GoPro indicates having 4+ gig. Ugh more earth shattering puzzles...

    Alex,
You don't know me, but I've been reading posts around here long enough that I think I can offer you some advice:

You seem like a pretty smart guy, with a good heart and decent work ethic. At 19 years old, you seem to be worrying too much about things beyond your control. This stuff tends to work itself out. Give her your opinion but let your girl make her own decisions. We all learn more from our mistakes than our successes, and if she is as bright as you are, you will both end up better off and closer for it. Also be prepared to move on if your relationship is constantly in turmoil. Follow your heart but use your brain. Good luck.

    Chris

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Best Buy... Slam some more RAM into that thinkbox! RAM is relatively cheap, and install is a breeze.

I am not a computer guy, so i can't help much. All i can tell you is the gopro editing software is pretty lame. Really basic, not very easy to use and it freezes all the time. If you are willing to put in the time to learn a advanced program and edit your footage then it would probably be worth getting some good software. I lose patience with that stuff quick, so the gopro software is sufficient for me. If it cant be fixed with a hammer then i dont know how to fix it, thats why i keep my little gopro edits simple :D i have a buddy that films skate/snowboarding videos, i can ask him what he uses, he is pretty good.
