Guessing he was trying to get the sheets of ply over the wheelwells. Clearly doesn't know about the ability to use a couple chunks of 2x10 to the bed walls. And I'd guess the downspout has a filter or something to catch dirt and run water into a cistern.

In your career hahaha. Looks like it worked. So who cares. Back to short vs long box, get what suits your needs, don't worry about what others think is best and you're good to go.

Hahaha, I was hesitant to post this photo because I knew I'd get flamed for that stack. Trust me, it made sense at the time. Plus I live less than a mile from Home Depot.

As for the downspot, I rent that house with 4 friends (in college) and I believe it is a radon mitigation vent, not connected to the gutters. If you want to see some weird home building stuff...rent a previously foreclosed house that's been repaired on the cheap

Forgot to add...go shortbed for parallel parking in the city 5 times a day.

I wish I could take a picture of how thin of parking spots I have gotten into with long box in the city. It's not hard you just gotta know how to work that extra junk in the trunk! Chicks do it all the time!

Long Bed for the win. Always.

Don't even go there dude. You know the vast population of women with driver's license's (which are legal in the surrounding 50 states) can drive their way out of a garage without sucking at it.

High centered? Scuse me? I need to start taking more pictures of all the bullshit I have driven through and never had to worry about high centering.

Lol, Short Bed for the win eh? I see how you edited my comment there and I laugh at how childish that move was. Nevertheless it was still funny what you did :D

I know, I know. I really went there. Seriously though. This is the longest vehicle I have ever owned and driven on a daily basis and my first off road capable vehicle and not one single piece of terrain has ever been a problem. No matter how steep the grade.

I'm not talking quality of driver, I could park our f350 Crew Cab if there was a spot big enough...the reality is a short bed could fit in some spots that a long bed could not...13" is a big difference.

Yeah, no hard feelings here. I'd be pissed and bitter spending $30k on half a truck when you could have had real truck! Too bad you hadn't found this site sooner, You could have saved yourself some headaches.
