Find a real gym that emphasizes proper form. The one problem with CrossFit is everyone's a guru. Too many coaches thinking they know how to coach. Too many athletes who think they can move forward with shitty movement patterns. You need to have a good coach and a humble athlete in order to be a good crossfitters. I can guarantee that many athletes I have worked and trained with have much better movement patterns than most people here. And yes, they CrossFit.

Wrong again. There have been swim events at the last two games in a row. And there are other CrossFit competitions where the main focus is open ocean swims, paddling, and other water events. And the pull-ups, have been around for years. Like over a hundred years and developed as a gymnastics movement. Sorry to those who want to sit and curl, instead of learning about mechanics, and different modalities, and the benefits of utilizing them.
