Severe Weather thread.

I was born and raised in the area that's supposed to get hit the hardest there in NY
Moved here, to ID, 3 years ago... we are getting rain. hahaha!
I'm jealous: want to be in this storm

 

Boston might get hit hard, they are only calling for 6-10" here, but the wind and temp is suposed to be bad. People are still freaking out. It wont be anything compared to nemo. That was awesome.

 

Its pretty bad here, 25 mph winds all day and about 4" of snow. Luckily it's not that cold though, only getting down to about 3 tonight. Next week is going to suck though, they're calling for about -12 next monday. I hope the battery in my beater is up to the task

 

I'm jealous too. Only got maybe 3 inches out of it. Nothing fun like feet.

Yeah I was watching the weather channel and looks like Boston area is getting slammed.

Yeah low here Monday is -10. Then high of 6 on Tuesday.I just had to have my furnace fixed a few days ago. Thank god that's working!

 

No pics yet, but funny story; My dog just went to the end of the porch, squatted, and took a piss. It's so cold and windy that she wouldn't even get of the damn porch before she went to the bathroom!
But, according to the weather channel, it's currently -8 and feels like -30 with the windchill.
I probably wouldn't have gone far from the front door either...

We have a high of -18 projected for Monday. With wind it will be in the neg 30s for sure.

F that! I think the coldest temp I was ever in was -20* with wind. Takes your breath away.

 

Hey can I come on down to warm up? Sorry couldn't resist looking at -50 or lower chill with -30 actual. Wish we could figure out how to keep old man winters balls from dropping down below the Rainy River.

 

I saw on the news that even Hotlanta, GA is going to be in the teens next week

-60 Here in Williston tonight. Forget that noise. I was working outside in -55 last night.

Gonna be 18 in Baton Rouge tomorrow. Lowest temperature in 4 decades

 

Crazy. I didn't know the cold was going to dip that low down to the southern states.

 

My boss called today, they closed the plant until Tuesday morning. WTF we all work inside! Forecast is for the lowest temperatures in 20+ years All the schools and some businesses are closed. Everybody is freaking out! You would think the date tomorrow should be 12/21/2012

 

Now that's extreme. I don't think kids will have school tomorrow (tuesday) with the wind chills. Not sure about today.
