One of my army buddies sent me a link to a news report. It's happening as far in as 80 miles from our border.

Don't you mean that since it's legal now you don't have the ability to make decisions for yourself and had to try it and get all baked and now are out driving and endangering everyone else? Since that's what needs to happen for the idea of things being more dangerous now as a result to come true.

How about a large standing army that needs to protect its own country?

And here we have the very reason why pot should have never been made illegal to begin with. The drug cartels in Mexico have military level firepower and guess where all that money came from... the sale of pot in the US since it's illegal and commands a premium. It's a plant. We have only ourselves and our absurd arrogance to blame for thinking we could legislate morality.

You mean one of the only duties our Federal government was actually tasked with when this nation was founded: securing our borders? Now why in the hell would they do something like that when they can focus on making illegal the firearms we as the people of this nation need to protect ourselves from said invaders? Seems like a foolish waste of effort to me.

Don't say that, they might read it and then waste billions trying to figure out how to use their boats on land. Lol

They already made one, it's called half baked. That is how I see most people behave when high, always in slow motion.

Maybe we should just annex Mexico into the country, and go down there and clean house.

Now that's a good idea. Or put the cartels on the terrorist list.

Wow this thread blew up real quick today.

Hey Colorado Springs Peeps come out tomorrow to the Freedom Financial Services Expo to the gun show and stop by the Majestic Mountain Gun Range booth.

    http://majesticmountainrange.com/

Open from 9am to 4pm. Majestic is offering some nice rates on range memberships prior to their opening later this year. I will be there.

You're the one who convinced me that the roadways were going to be more dangerous now that pot has been legalized. Just going off of what you said and in order for that to be reality then normal non-stoners like you and me have to start smoking pot and driving where we didn't before simply because it's now legal.

People who oppose the legalization of something bank on hyperbole convincing the general populace that the world will end if item 'XYZ' is made legal and it MUST be kept illegal to keep us all safe. Who will think o da chirrens?!?

In reality, we could make everything legal tomorrow and your day to day life likely wouldn't be affected at all. Well, maybe Aaron's. :D

Don't forget drug dealers would become upstanding citizens. Now how do you think they will handle that?
