Not doubting you but I've been on this site for 7 years and if I had a dime for every member years past who said the same only to not be driving a Tacoma anymore, I would have the cash to buy my next truck. Enjoy your truck.

Im an old guy, 66 now and the toughest thing this truck will do is take me fishing, spend a couple of nights with the Scouts and some home projects. I know lots of guys say stuff like that but with me it will stick. I'm very happy with the stock truck. Well almost stock, just put a cover on the back that's all. Funds are pretty limited now and I don't have extra money for upgrades on new trucks. So we will see if this warranty is real. Thanks for the input. I like your truck.

Went back and looked at my paperwork and it was 29,442 sorry not 32,000. 32,xxx was the approximate sticker.

Interesting about the value of the vehicle. I would love to see how they'd compute that figure. If they use something like trade in, it could very easily bottom out much sooner than you'd expect.

    Yup....
Stick with the traditional warranty...... unless they changed that over the years. My 07 when I bought it new had the full 3/36 and 7/60K mile powertrain warranty.

I would tend to think.....your basic powertrain warranty (7/60K) would need to apply regardless of what you sign up for (lifetime or not). And anyone considering this - should investigate this further.

Think of it this way.... You sign up for the "Lifetime Warranty" yet you decided to do all the maintenance yourself. If they can deny coverage to you because you do the work yourself.... theoretically, that means..... You have NO WARRANTY COVERAGE at all after the 3/36 expires. Which is complete BS (if you ask me).

You can do your own maintenance. As long as you keep records and receipts with the date on them. There was a lawsuit years back on this same thing. The guy won.
