Another thing that is happening on my topper is an Antennae array. i already have a couple of the antennae that will be up there. Same thing though. Ordering shielded weather connectors for each of the respective runs I have going up there. Might not be the best thing to have all that wire running to the back of the truck, then foreword. But I want to keep things tidy. The antennae wire will be on the passenger side of the truck to keep it away from the power runs. In an attempt to thwart interference.

I clicked back to page 87, to look at my order form again. Just to see if there was an Order form revision number in one of the corners. It looks dated, but there are no identifying numbers on the form itself. All I can do now is hope.

Here is what I dug up from LEER themselves.

If you people could keep this here I would appreciate it. This is NOT a hack or anything. You can find all this to their website through google. HOWEVER, if you were to try to access it through their site directly, going through the distributors site. You would need login details.

To prove it, here is the search criteria that brought me straight through the back door of their site. Use google and search for "leer fiberglass order form east"

The rails are 5' long and are mounted 3' from center to center of slots from each other. There are 5 bolts on each rail covered with a plastic cap.

Curious where you ordered your connectors, directly from White? By coincidence, I was looking at the same type of connectors at McMaster-Carr yesterday, with the same thought of using them for a Leer cap when I find one. I only looked quickly, but didn't see how to order online from White, which is why I ask where you ordered yours.

Started to put led lights in my shell this afternoon. Got the wires ran into the bed, then the wind picked up, and I gave up. I'll finish it tomorrow. 24° minus the wind is lame. Wish my shop had better lighting.

Here's mine in the snow... not a great pic. I'll post more once I get it painted to match. It's indigo blue right now. Bought it used off CL.

Doesn't have to line up. The brackets that go on the bars will line up when you mount them.

SO I was given FALSE info again.

Sliding Windoors are NOT available for the shortbed tacoma.

The solid rear glass with a single handle? Yep, NOPE. Not with WIndoors.

I can only get a 100R with Windoors. Or the 100RCC

On the note of the the roof rails, Was told that the rails are 72" long and that they could cut them any size. If I wanted them to be mounted farther over actually in the rain gutter/ body line on the roof of the shell, they would.

Drilling holes for a wiring harness. NO - Leer will not drill any holes besides the holes for the roof rack.

The lady on the phone went as far as telling me that my wants were unrealistic. I was dumbfounded.

told her that yes, I am the 1 person that called and verified that the options I wanted were or were not available. Most of the other customer base, just get shot down at the website level or dealer level. Their wants are never heard.

She chuckled and told me that they would NOT listen. Would NOT change the moulds or anything. (Never even mentioned that to her) You are just 1 person...

Simply pointed out that since 2005-2014 it is the SAME design in the truck with the exception for slight front end design changes.

WHen I had the 100R on the truck, the gasket/ rubber piece that touches the tailgate, WORE THE PAINT OFF AND CAUSED RUST on the tailgate. Leer wouldn't warranty it. No dealer would either.

Damn, I feel I am taking a step backwards here.
