What kind of numbers were they talking for your truck? I am looking at trading mine in the next six months or so.

 

They started at $11k, the last offer we were talking about was $16k but they never got back to me on that one. KBB trade in for my truck is upper 16's and retail is over 19 I believe. KBB on the F150 is $32k. They admitted they had the truck for too long and paid too much for it which is why they marked it down. The problem was, that being the case, they didn't want to give me anything for mine. Also, not being a Toyota dealership, they were just going to send my truck to auction rather than try to sell it on their lot.

 

How many miles on your tacoma?

That's the range I've been figuring on. Doubt I could get that high due to the damage on mine, but I do have a little less miles.

Dam I most likely wouldn't get much for my piece of shit . 05 102k miles . I'd have to trade it in covered in snow so they didn't see all the dents . Lol

Side note, I'm proud my truck started up first crank at -8 around 6am! Coldest startup of the season so far!

Woahhhhhhh! Midas quoted me $218 or more for labor and $100 for parts for replacing ONE ball joint on the upper control arm. Holy shit!

How bout no? I'm getting my AC evac'd and recharged, drain and fill the trans, and get an oil change for $249 and change before tax. Not too bad. Hopefully I can get the ball joint fixed this week (Monday preferably)

 

Suspicions confirmed, the dealership sold the truck out from under me. For now, everything is staying on the truck for a little bit, once tax returns come back and I'm off my current project, I'll list everything up for sale and those who wanted particular parts will have first dibs on them.

 

I'll never understand that shit. Dude walks up and finds the vehicle they want. Why wouldn't the salesman get the numbers worked out and papers signed right then? Sale complete, vehicle no longer in inventory. Instead they have 3 guys selling the same truck at the same time.

What I didn't tell you guys last night is he called me back to give me the final verdict on our last deal but you could hear someone in the background, then quickly said 'let me call you back in one minute'. Dealership closed, no call back so I left him a semi-nasty voicemail saying I didn't appreciate being blown off and please call me back. He called this morning saying they sold the truck but he'd give me a call if something within my price range came in. I told him don't bother, if they get something in that I like, I'll call them.
