Question for the suspension guys. What are the benefits of a uniball UCA compared to a stock balljoint style UCA?

I was running extended travel icons and they recommend running a uniball setup . I think they have more range of motion compared to a standard ball joint .
For your app I'd say run a ball joint not uniballs . They need a lot of maintenance too. Even more because we are in the salt belt .
My total chaos uca uniballs shit the bed after 1 winter . I upgraded to a stainless steel uniball and didn't have any issues . But those are sold now .

The Light Racing ball joint UCA's also have enough travel to support a mid-travel lift.

I don't think toyota sells upper balljoint by themselves . You have to buy the whole arm . Do you have a bad ball joint or looking to upgrade to a aftermarket arm?

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
I am really happy with my light racing UCAs. $375 from headstrong offroad. Uniball offers more articulation over stock, LR claims their UCAs provide 20 degrees more articulation over stock. Uniballs are supposed to have "cleaner" travel. LR is awesome because they are adjustable, most UCAs add 2* caster, you might not want that much extra because you are only lifted around 2". You can set the LR UCAs to +1* which will give you a little more clearance to the back of the wheel well when you go with bigger tires. Oh ya LR comes with their own replaceable ball joint.

My concern with LR is alot of bushing failures as well as balljoints. I have read that the boots will be intact but the BJ is full of dirt and grime. I read that the bushings have been upgraded but still have been a problem

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Billy, call DSM or Wheelers. I think they both sell the Camburgs. Ask them what ball joint they recommend.

The dealer is probably hoping you're still interested in something while you're there.

F-that, I'm not going back to that dealership. I understand why they did what they did, I just have a problem with how they pulled it off. They've already called twice trying to get me to come back in and once to try to sell me a Dodge. I told them I'm not coming back in and I certainly don't want a Dodge.

Those things suck. That's what I would charge you got take off the upper arm and if those bushings are stuck. Then press it out. f that.
