Jim, glad you know what blew; hope you find what caused it.

Ding, Roman Numerals -- classy, thinking we Robs should reformat.

    Hehehehehe.
A different set of eyes is all it needs sometimes...
The bad news is toyota has gone to this POS setup in the 13 and up.
Shoving a converter box into the tail lamp ass.
The only saving grace is its plug in so no splicing or tapping the harness.
    More downward spiral..

Looking back that thing should have been in ?? It was 6 years old. Ive seen this same thing along time ago.. Dad in law got A new Chev P/U in 1985 loaded but did not have the tow package. First thing he did was U haul hitch. The thing was about a year old when he got a fix it ticket for the rear lights. I looked at it for him & the fuse was blown. new fuse fixed it. A few days later a real ticked for the brake lights..I put in a fuse & we took it to the dealer. They found a bad almost new (6 Mo old) trailer converter box..They put in a high $ one & it was still working good when he traded the thing in 10 years later.. I should have cut the thing off snow white just to see it that was it.:anonymous:
