Ah. Now I got it. Yes, I firmly believe in OMEs.

Offer $350 and see what he counters with. $425 is a nice price in my mind so dunno. Maybe open with $375 if you have it.

I really don't know why soooo many people give such high reviews of the 5100's... I did a good amount of reading and I fell for it. The OME's tubes are almost 2x bigger so that means way bigger pistons and that allows way better dapening. Where as the 5100's just have to make there valving way tighter and that just makes for a very stiff shock that acts like a pogo stick.

Ya I can understand that. Well I will have those shocks for 380 shipped
Now what to do about the rear?? I can get 5100's for the rear for like $84 for now then upgrade later?

If your just going to upgrade latter, just pick up a pair of the TRD OR shocks for closet to nothing.

I've been running a super cheap pair of Rancho's that I picked up from Pep-Boys for the last 3 years and have had zero issues.

About 90 for the set. Worked so far until I can get my rear set up and done all at once.

Hey any of you guys have a set of second gen rear shocks you don't want? Mom's truck needs some that aren't leaking

    It's a 6 lug.

Dude, there are a ton of us here that go wheeling all the time. Maybe I don't have your number, PM me your cell and I'll let you know when we go out. There are a few good trails out here.

Been a Usual Suspects Tacoma Weekend. SGT Taco helped me with my CV yesterday. On the way home, Ghost pulled up next to me at an intersection. KCDuran was at the gym last night. Saw Black Taco this morning at Eubank/Menaul in his new 2nd Gen. Returned a 35mm socket to Slodgetto just a few minutes ago.

Speaking of usual suspects, Cloudy, I have a boot kit for you.

By the looks of it the fronts work but not the rear:(

    Thanks for the offer though.

Found out that on 1st Gen CV axles, you have to beat the tripod down first so you can remove the hidden snap ring before being able to pound the tripod off. Good times! :D
