One of life's little pleasures is a clean vehicle. Another of life's little pleasures is to have someone else wash your car. Had some bodywork done a couple of months ago and am trying to stay away from commercial car washes for a while so I've been hand washing it myself and I realized today how much I don't enjoy it. Made me wonder, are there others out there that really don't enjoy washing their trucks?

I love washing mine. I will spend an entire day detailling, washing and waxing it. It's not for everybody, I guess.

I enjoy washing and detailing it but can only do so in summer here. Wish the work lasted longer when completed though. ;)

Touch-less wash, everyday I drive it. $32.99 a month unlimited washes, w/underbody flush/wax. I wipe door jambs and engine compartment each time also. Can't beat the deal, covers 73 Holiday station here in MN.

That's a good deal. I use touchless as well but it still needs hand attention to get the fine dirt every month or so. I'll hit up the touch less wash and then use terry cloths and a detail spray to hand wipe everything. Works great and you don't have to deal with buckets and water. Twice a year I'll give a nice hand wax. For the wheels I just use an aluminum wheel spray and clean off with cloth. Seems to work well for me.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Terry cloth fibers scratch like steel wool. Use micro-fiber cloths, only.

I enjoy washing, waxing and detailing my truck and would wash it quite a bit. Unfortunately we have been on stage 3 water restrictions for quite some time, so now I take it to get washed....:(

I agree micro-fiber is the way to go. terry clothes is better for the engine compartment or any mechanical work under the hood/body.

I love washing mine its a passion I've had for long time, now i use my foam canon and pressure sprayer, and two bucket method wash, then use car pro`s reload spray sealant, or GTechniq c2v3, works wonders and makes it shine and easy to clean..

I enjoy washing mine. I want to clean it very much at the moment due to the snow we just had and my truck is completely encrusted in salt. It's so bad that as it dripped off my truck in my garage my floor looks like a salt flat. My black wheels are now white.

I also use a micro fiber to touch after that touch-less wash. I also use Turtle wax Ice detail spray. Shit works great. Nothing sticks to paint, bugs come right off, even use it on glass.

Better than dirt bucket water I suppose. I use whatever the bag at auto parts store where the towels are blue, green, and yellow. They re micro I believe. But the truck is white and not black so minor scratches don't show as well.

I enjoy washing mine. I use the wand wash and foam brush as I don't really trust the drive-thru washes. Black is the hardest color to keep looking clean, and with the unpredictable weather here, sometimes my wash only lasts a day or two. Dry summer days are fine, cold winter stretches are fine, but when the snow melts up here it's a big, salty, rocky, slushy, dirt flinging fest. Kinda hard on the paint, I hate driving in it. I'd rather it just stay cold throughout winter then all melt at once.

can't stand it. i wash it every three weeks or so. i used to be a freak about it, then i realized after so many times of just washing it every two or three weeks it's just the same to me. i clay bar and wax it every 6 mos, that's the diff right there

    Bone stock for now....
I enjoy the wash. I also frequently use a touchless wash when my truck isn't too dirty. the blow dry is the best feature. After I drive home I go over it with Minute Detail Spary to get any remaining water spots off as well as that just detailed shine.

Clay bar and wax a couple times a year.

I might have to look into that! I get so frustrated at the water spots after a wash especially on black!

Keep up with the waxes and touch less car washes work much better. Clay bar before waxing with an old fashioned Meguirs Cordoba wax paste. Reguler washing is with Meguirs soap N wax. Then Meguirs spray on wax as a detailer/spot remover after its dry. And some Meguirs Tire shine. My hands are fucking freezing after the was today lol
