got back from a long road trip last night so I took her to the car wash to clean all the salt off and now she's in the garage warming up before I clean the inside and do an oil change

 

Yeah I wanted the 285's but trimming stuff doesnt really appeal to me. Im getting a three inch lift next week so hoping the tires dont look goofy underneath at that size

 

They'll look OK - a lot of people run 32" tires with a 3" lift. You'll be happy.

Sure here you go. Not the best and i would do it a bit different next time. But for 12 bucks or so (leds were 11 shipped to me, 1 buck for the grommets i used)

Last night I installed my Ultragauge MX. Now to figure out their protocols to get full function out of the capabilities. Mounted it below a/c controls since it wouldn't fit on top of the steering column where I had my scangauge 2.

 

Finished paint on engine cover, did the Toyo and V6. Now to clean off the leaking under the tape and re-install!!

Those are the lights. I went with the amber. The only other thing you will need is two grommets from lowes. I drilled two holes in the actual cup holder part (the hard plastic with a 7/16 drill bit. Put the grommets in. Pulled the LED lights snug (its a tight fit). heres where i would go different, i drilled a 7/16 into the rubber (black) cup holder. I think it would have been better to start smaller and expand the hole till you got the amount of light you wanted. but you can use electrical tape to block some if the light is coming out of the cup or whatever. The only other thing to do is to run the wires up to behind the A/C controls. I found it easier to drop a cord down from behind the ac unit and come from the side (passengers side) and sort of pull the center console plastic out a bit to reach back to grab the wires. Then tape them to the one you dropped down and pull them up. Wire them using the green and green w/white strip wires. For my 2011 that is. Check polarity but i want to say it was red to the green and black to the green with white (again check!)


Bad picture but you can see i did the lights on the rear side (closest to shifter) of the plastic cup holder. Also the wires go to the back of the AC unit. Again sorry for the bad picture

So I paid $83.99 for the battery B 4 sales tax. Not bad. I had to do the chat thing to get the discount but it was worth the effort $40.

 

I've looked and looked but couldn't find if there was a forum on brake pads... does anyone know if there is a forum for which brake pads are recommended? Can you make a suggestion for which brake pads to go with? are OEM ones a good way to go.?

I'm in the early stages of thinking to sell my taco for more of a down payment for a house then buy a newer, white taco and start my build.
