Excellent question...you should plan something out. I might even make it myself if my stock truck could keep up. It might also work out that I have a friend out as well riding shotgun if that happens.

I'd be down for a snow run, evans creek, walker, reiter or something in a couple weeks... busy this weekend and heading south to visit family next weekend. After that my weekends should be free for awhile. Just ordered a Trail Gear low profile front bumper and light hoop today, thinking about picking up a 20" dual row led bar to if I can find one for deals. Pretty pumped about the bumper, next will be a synthetic line, hawse fairlead and factor 55 thimble.

if anyone is or knows of anyone interested in my 01-04 factory bumper, hidden winch mount and light bar, they'll be for sale once I get the new bumper on. Also have an extra bumper with untrimmed lower plastic so you can trim to your liking.

I might go for the hidden winch mount. I still need to make my front bumper.

doesn't Evans close for the season until May?
I know it closes on Dec 18th :p

I'd like a run that's tougher than a waltz down a service road, but not buttrape boulevard. TSF is the only place I've found that, wish I had an option closer to up here.
If Tahuya ever saw snow it might be interesting, but
    1. It will never happen
    2. It will still be pretty tame without a buttload of snow.

He has 1st gen. Not going to fit you.

Custom front bumper made from 5/16" sidewalls on 4x8 box steel...that should be able to have a mount on it about anywhere...got the steel and it is heavy, something like 175 to 200 lbs.

BTW, on gun sights, I contacted Advantage Tactical and they said Suresights went out of business because of an inferior product and bad business practice. ATS has similar sights to Suresights but ATS has glow in the dark that has to be charged in the light before glowing. The Suresights were made with Tritium, which will glow from radioactivity and loses brightness over time, but can be kept in pitch black for a week, pulled out and it is still glowing.

Just watched that vid with the radio on over here with Three Dog Night - Joy to the World playing...watching the metal heads 'rock out' to that song was rather interesting. I agree, Ben should get out here and say something. If he decides to start a fire like that, I may kick him to the side and put a road flare under a pile of wood.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
 WTF! Those guys are totally doing it wrong...you need to have a virgin lamb sacrifice in order to make it work. Newbs!

As far as the "Lost Corner" trip goes, here's my overall thoughts:

I like the idea of using Zach's place as a staging area and maybe camp out the first/last nights. I don't want to necessarily exclude anyone, but I do want 4-5 experienced drivers/capable rigs for the excursion. Maybe 6 tops.

I don't mind if people want to ride along for the journey and camp/hike/explore with us, I definitely have enough room for passengers and extra gear. I just don't want any liabilities or potential impedance to the journey. Maybe we could have Zach's place be the official meeting point, and leave a few trucks there, so people can ride-along and leave their vehicle in a secure place. :notsure:

As Mike said, we will be exploring unknown areas - it could easily change from easy access roads to black diamond hill-climbs or narrow mountain-side trails. I still haven't sat down to map out potential routes/itinerary, but I plan on this being a Friday to Saturday trip.

I know I'm slacking...but I will work on a plan this weekend.

I'm thinking that. I have 2 weeks vacation this year + holidays.

We could even do Wed.-Sun. or Fri.-Wed. or something...depends on what everyone else is able to do.

How difficult is the Mine to Market trail?

I have 4x4 with no lockers, no winch or any kind of armor. But I do have a 3inch lift and all terrain tires. I've done the Naches pass trail and made it just fine.

You'd probably be just fine as far as armor... but no lockers or winch and being on on all terrains might be an issue. It tops out over 5000ft elevation, I'm assuming the last half or more is under snow right now.
