    Congratulations! :yay:

 Morning Tom, Ken, Charlie, and Mike.

Working nights, all my sleep is a series of naps between 3 and 5 hrs long. On days off, I try to stay up, but usually crash between 9pm and 10pm and then wake up between 1am and 3am. But still I'd rather do this than the reindeer games around here on day shift; played enough of those on active duty. When I'm on shift I take two naps a day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. If I didn't split it, during the Winter I'd never see day light.

I agree with Mike's advice ... do me a favor and take some notes on how you crank down the go switch. I drove my wife crazy my two months of terminal leave during retirement from active duty and transfer to the civil service job. Started doing every little project around the house that I had ever thought about but never found time to do. I still remember when the Lowes bill came shortly before starting civil service; her words were something like "old man, you really need to go back to work!" :D

Seriously though Ken, congratulations and all the best in your retirement.
    Rob :)

    Woo Hoo!! Congratulations!!! [IMG]

-5 this AM - wind howling now, too. So, we headed out to the spa. [IMG]
We did make a concession to the temps and wore ski caps.

Yesterday was a bust. Went out early to plow the snow. Made 3 passes and the winch wouldn't retract. Called and had someone plow us out and spent several hours troubleshooting the winch - finally pulled the motor and took it on an hour drive one way to a dealer. Checked the motor - fine. Bought a new contactor relay - in the process of trying to warm the garage a bit so I can go out and put it all back together.

We had friends over for dinner last night. Lynn and I were cleaning up and noticed the dogs were not around. They had been good all night...so I got worried. This is where I found them.

Thanks Rob, maybe if I get bored I'll pick up a part time job somewhere.

Thanks Mark, The spa was a really good investment...you and Lynn really enjoy it especially on days like this. That's great. Love the picture...they look so relaxed. Try to stay warm and enjoy the Eagles tonight.

    Morning all:
    Congratulations Ken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You won't be bored, always can find something to do.

Young guy called me yesterday; asked if I wanted to go ice fishing this morning. Politely declined!
Definitely showing signs of old age, or common sense! :p

That's why I like watching Judge Judy. Some of the people on there are just like the ones you guys are talking about; DUH!
Before X-mas, a guy that's broke asked to borrow $40,--nope. Last night he was parked outside and I saw his wife walk into the gas station with a scratch off lottery ticket! DUH!!!

Good afternoon everybody. Sunny and 34 degrees today, after three days off temps in the teens and lots of snow. Good neighbor cleaned out my driveway yesterday while I was at work. Got the snow blower started and broke a trail to my storage shed. The local Home Depots and Lowes have sold out of snow blowers. Supposed to get another winter blast Sunday Evening. Used to do the ice fishing thing, never did very well.
    Enjoy your weekend.

32 degrees here today, getting sloppy and dirty--too warm. :(

Tried ice fishing twice. Did ok one time and skunked the other; don't care for it.

Hope Jim's enjoying his nap. ;)

 afternoon Paul. :woot: for nice neighbors

    38* here now...

Never did try ice fishing... didn't want to sit in freezing temps trying to hook a fish, that wouldn't take my hook when temps were warm out..
