99 and 00 are still getting bought back if the inspections were done by the end of 2011 or whenever the deadline was. It has ended for some years, but not all years. There's some misinformation out there. Especially from one certain forum member.

Found out my 4x4 isn't actually working after my new gear install.

When i press the button the following happens:
-4x4 Dash light illuminates
-The TCase 'shifts' to 4x4
-The front drive shaft 'locks in' and spins via the TCase
-I think the actuator on the diff is working (makes some noise)
-Both front wheels still spin freely/are not 'engaged' as if it's still in 4x2

I'm betting i installed that collar wrong that the actuator fork slips in to... or something. I'm done troubleshooting for the night, but will be back in the garage around noon tomorrow. Anyone know of an assembly diagram or pictures of 'proper' install order/direction or has this happened to you and you have some insight?

I spent a bit of time searching but came up with either non-ADD fixes or people who just replaced the actuator all-together but their symptoms were different...

After reading a bunch I came to the conclusion that the Porsche boots aren't worth it. Best to just do the boot slide mod. Haven't actually tested out the theory though. Ran into problems attempting to get the tripod off. Going to take it to a shop and have them press it off.
