    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the same bullshit that's been published on various e-zine sites and blogs every year since the 2012 facelift.

Maybe you aren't trolling... but you got trolled.

See... there's your first sign that it's bullshit.

FOUR different engines with only 20hp difference between the two 4-cylinder engines?

    FOUR different transmissions?

    The new 2.7 is 190hp and 200nm?
The current 2.7 puts out more torque than that... 200mn is only 147ft/lbs, the 2.7 puts out 180.
Likewise, the "new" 4.2 will be 280mn... that's only 206ft/lb... the current 4.0 puts out 266

    Bullshit.
    It's a truck.
It's not going to be all-wheel drive.
Four wheel drive, maybe... AWD is very, very different.
    9500kg?
    That's 20,000 pounds.
    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
Even the GM Duramax 3500 can't haul that.

    You've been trolled.

A brand new 4.2L engine that has minimal improvement in hp and torque over the current 4.0....plus the pic of the interior remarkably looks like the current Tundra....color me skeptical

    Ya...
    4 and 5 for the 2.7, and 5 and 6 for the 4.0... not 5 and 6.

There's no logical pairing of the options listed.

Oh no... the new 4.2 puts out LESS torque than the current 4.0!

    It's listed in n/m... metric. 280nm is only 206 ft/lbs.
    That's a 30% drop from the current 4.0

It'll happen. 2nd Gen will be 10 years old for 2015, so I would expect a redesign either then or 2016.
1st Gen came out in 95.5, facelift in 2001, and replaced in 2005.
2nd Gen had a facelift in 2012, so we can expect it within 2 model years...

As far as WHAT it will be... nobody knows outside of Japan.
If the redesign is happening in 2015, then there is a shop working on what will be revealed at auto shows this spring, and a few test mules are being built.

We'll see spy photos of test mules months before we get anything as detailed as that article.

Maybe it's just me....but the Tacoma certainly doesn't strike me as being "The Best Looking Truck Available"

    It's a truck.

Personally, I think all of the current full-sized trucks except for the Titan are fugly.

Old Colorado was nice, but the new Colorado (and likely new Tacoma) has a front end designed to reduce the potential for injury to the occupants of a compact car should the truck t-bone it.

Thats pretty cool, I didnt know that. I always thought it was aerodynamics w/streamlining for fuel efficiency.

I hate to say this, but I like the style of the F-150. The new Tundra looks better than the last one, especially with the color matched grill.

How about we just forget the Tacoma all together and have them bring in that beastly ass landcruiser the Ausies get. You know with the 4.5 V8 turbo diesel and all.

    (One can dream)

I want to see the Tacoma get an awesome revamp, but it's not like I will be buying one.

Instead I would sit on YouTube and watch videos of them in my dorm before going to sleep lol
