Appradio 2 and Iphone 5s

I just got a 5s and now need to upgrade my appradio connection wires. I know that pioneer sells their connection kit that comes with the HDMI cable and the USB cable. And on top of the pioneer kit I am going to need apples lightning d/v adapter. My question is can I just get a HDMI and adapter then plug my phone into the existing usb slot on the connection wire?

 

Never mind I found the answer. My plan will work. Disconnect the USB break in the current cable and plug in lightning cable. Then plug the lightning cable and HDMI cable in to the adaptor. Attach the adaptor to the phone and it will for for about half of the price.

come on now broski. It does what I wanted and I like it.

 

i got one for my wife, and it was a complete waste of money. good thing it wasnt that expensive, we took it out, and put the stock radio back in her corolla.

 

My roommate last year had the app radio 1 and I kinda liked it.Then I got to play with the 2 and I liked it even better. I like it better than the stock
