Yeah I've seen a few first gens as well. Is that color actually called Timberland Mica? I had a handful of tacoma drivers check out my truck yesterday and it's completely stock so idk if that's just what tacoma guys do or maybe they were intrigued by the color as well?

Anyhow here's a dirty pic. Hard to get anything better with the weather we've been having here in Indiana.

Yes, that's Timberland Mica. Replaced with Spruce Mica in 2012.

Yeah I know mine is Timberland, I was asking if the first gens also had a Timberland Mica or if its just a similar green. I love the Spruce Mica but haven't seen one of those since I left Colorado. Indiana seems to be all red, white, black, silver and blue.

Not today but I got around to finally adding some tie down track to my bed. Couldn't mount up near drain holes without moving bed due to gas tank so found the next best place. All the strengthening sections under the bed are a bitch for getting backing plates to fit.

That looks awesome. Any specifics on total cost, where you purchased the tie downs from, and any pics without bed mat in place?

I bought this track package specifically:
    http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-3375-Anchortrax-Kit/dp/B001QVZ6AG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1388950133&sr=8-2&keywords=anchortrax

You can get L-track/airline track/o track (goes by many names by different manufacturers), all over the place. UScargocontrol.com has a lot of it for sale in larger lengths, but the way the composite bed has all the supports underneath it makes it a pain to get your hands in there to get the nuts on.

The bigger tie downs I know are for military use in aircraft. I bought them a while back on eBay, and have been watching a seller who is still selling them (cheaper than what I bought them for) The track/bed would implode before those things failed lol.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/190906829250?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

All in total with shipping (included extra tie downs) I'd estimate it cost me $50, plus an 1.5 hrs of my time, most of which I spent using a hacksaw to cut the backing plates to fit around one of the bed support pieces underneath since I don't have any decent cutting tools on hand. Bed mat took about 20 minutes to measure out and cut both slots with a utility knife.

No pics without bed mat but I could get some this week if you really want them.

went to a car wash to give the truck a quick wash to get all the dust etc off and then stood back to see my detail job...my jaw dropped...truck has a sh*t ton of swirl marks all over now thanks to what I think was caused by the wash brush. Got pissed at the car wash and will never use those ones again...hand washing all the way!
Does anyone have any suggestions that would be a good cut polish or good polish / wax to use to get all the surface scratches out? Indigo Ink shows marks even from a leaf blowing across it lol I'm not afraid of a lot of elbow grease either lol

    Dude,
this shit rocks! It is like e-track. Where did you get it? Details bro! My BigTex Trailer has E-Track and it rocks. I haul my cycles with ease. I need to add it to the trk.

The best mod here so far.

You can use an orbital polisher to get rid of that. Use something like Klasse's polish/wax combo. That will likely take that off.

Installed my XTP intake spacer this morning. Pretty easy and straight forward. Seems to make a healthy difference, no more low rpm lugging. Some dry pavement and or deep snow will be the real test.
