Just following up, I ended up getting the fox 2.0's and replacing the coils with 700lb eibach coils. Ran me 680 for the coilovers and an additional 184 for the set of new coils. I have a heavy steel bumper and a winch so I needed stronger coils.
Off road, especially at high speeds, they are a shitload better than what I had (stock TRD suspension with 160k miles on it with a 3" coil spacer).
Around town driving, they aren't noticeably any better. On the highway, they are a bit smoother, but in my opinion, not 864 dollars better.
If I would've known that 3 weeks later, dsm was going to have icon coilovers on cyber Monday sale for less than 1000, I would've waited. But what's done is done I guess...
Overall I guess I'm happy. It's an improvement over stock, and since my trucks a DD, I can justify 884 dollars more than I could justify the 1200 that the icons would've costed me then.. I am a college student and pennies count in my budget.

I went with the 2.0's as well, i didnt need the 2.5, but i did want a better ride, that i could adjust to compensate for the additonal weight(arb, winch ect) that i'll add in the future, im happy overall but i can still drool over other peoples setup.

Allpro shows the fox coil overs 2.5 rem.res. height adjustable from 1" to 3.5". Anyone know if this is true or not? The height level is differnt from site to site. Im really. Wana get that same package found on orw that comes with front co rear shocks and ucas but i realy need the hieght. If anyones has pics with the fox 2.5 jackd up to full height please post

If you compress the coil on the fox 2.5 as high as it will go, I'm sure you'll get more than 3.5 inches of lift. But with that being said, you're ride quality will be absolutely horrible, and if you're truck is a 4wd, your cv axles will be at angles so horrible that they will break very easily and get worn out fast.
Why do you need that much height? If you go over 3 inches, you'll need to replace ALOT of additional components to have your alignment correct. My fox's are set around 2.5 inches and I have 2 inches of lift on the back with the ironman leaf packs and icon vs 2.0 shocks. It sits high enough that I never have a problem with clearance and I can squeeze 35"s if I wanted to.

I have a 2inch lift in back and bilstein5100s up front givn me a 2.5" lift but now the rear end is sitting higher then the front again and il really like to level it out or if possibl make the front higher. My truck is 4wheel drive so im kinda stuck on how to go about lifting it more. I might end up getn a bds db lift that comes with fox front co and rear shock. But db lift wud b my last resort

How are you gonna lift the back?
I'd to with kings for your coilovers and shocks. They ride so freaking smooth.
And make sure you do a 2.5 diameter rear shock. I have icon 2.0's and they don't ride that smooth

I have the stock rims and tires 26.5/7.0/16r on there and it looks ok ive been happy with it 2014 prerunner

    Yeah, they're pretty expensive...
Bottom line is, if you go with any reputable coilover (fox, king, icon, camburg, radflo) then you are "doing it right". Out of all the name brands of coilovers I just listed, none of them are a "wrong" choice. King's are my personal preference, but that doesn't mean that fox or icon suck and are bad choices. Hell, I have both fox in the front and icon in the back on my truck.

Window tint, debadged, fog-lite anytime mod, aftermarket taillights, low profile toolbox modded with three mountain bike mounts, JVC dvd headunit, Kicker hideaway, Fox 2.5" IFP with DSM UCA's, Allpro standard (soon to be expedition) leaf pack, 255/85r16 BFG KM2's, 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers, powdercoated gloss black TRD offroad rims with color matched center caps.
I have the 2.5 non resi up front and initially had them dialed in at 3" of height. I kept getting the cluck noise when the truck would down travel so I had to lower it.. all the way to 2.5" of lift. Don't listen to the height marketing they claim. The truck rode like ass until I lowered them. Still don't see the extra money over a cheaper set up like billsteins and eibachs... I wouldn't recommend these struts unless you were desert running.. and still if you were, go with King or Icon. Sucks because I love fox products usually.

I wasnt happy with my 2.0 fox CO's. They were always stiff and the "adjustment knob" didnt ever feel like it did anything...

I would get Icons if I did it over again and have them valved for a bit softer ride.

I think this is the truth of the topic - regardless of what each manufacturer claims for total lift, the higher you crank up the coilovers, the harsher and louder the ride. I'm running Radflo 2.0 coilovers on my 4runner for a 3 inch lift and they ride pretty poor/clunky on city roads, but much better offroad.

All in all, I have yet to hear of any manufacturer that provided a 3 inch lift and butter smooth city driving.

I am looking at the Fox 2.0 performance series coilovers but have a few questions. Just trying to get a gage on what I need.

Almost all my time will be spent driving on road with occasional very mildd off-roading. I am simply looking for a better quality ride than stock on my 2017 4x4 trd off road (if possible) and no more than 2 inches of lift.

With these coilovers being adjustable, will installing them/raising (come with 2") them decrease up-travel? I know they are sent with an additional 2" of lift, so with this amount will there be any drawbacks or simply a better ride?

additionally, will these shocks increase preload as a spacer kit might? will these 2.0s have any of the same problems that come along with spacer kits?

In summary, will the 2.0's improve my ride every day on road (every once and a while offroad) without any compromises to stock

Thanks to anyone who can help
