I've got that camera. It has been a workhorse since '84. Never kept in a case mounted on a handle flash all the time with motor drive. The 50mm 1.8 series E is a sharp lens too.

Wow, man! This one is amazing!

The EM or the FG. I'm hoping to pick up an FG since it has more controls than just A mode.

Yup ha that's awesome. I just want the FG and the 50 (maybe the 100) and that's it for walking around grabbing some street stuff.

Any quirks I should know about with it?

Remember to press the rewind button on the bottom before you rewind the film in the canister. Lol if the battery runs out you can switch to m90 setting and shoot in real full manual. Not really anything special. It just works and works really well. I unboxed it and started using it and haven't done anything to it other than brush and blow the shutter off to keep it clean.

That is a stunning eagle shot. Which L lens to you plan to get/use?

Just went through your Flickr (and started following you). I really like your existing light informal portraits. In the mirror shot, I see a Leica lens. Is that manual or autofocus?

he isn't using L glass. Just a cheap Tamaron 70-300. I have used the same one he is using as he let me borrow it for an hour or so. im amazed at what he is getting cause its one of the slowest auto focusing lenses ever haha

It's the Panasonic/Leica 25mm f/1.4. Leica designed it and Panasonic mass produced it so it's a joint effort but not quite Leica quality. Still tack sharp and the color rendering is beautiful. It's AF and pretty fast at it, too.

He stated that he is going to get L glass in the future. The guy you quoted asked which L lens he is "going" to get, not which he has ha

    Shot 4 is great TJ!

Ben, I did a bunch of reading on the 300 IS 4 vs 400 5.6 a while back. For me I think i'll end up with the 400 non IS because I'll just want the extra 100mm. Seems people get good results though with a 300 IS 4 and a 1.4 Teleconverter when they need reach... The 400 is such a tack sharp quick shooter tho. I know what i'm picking up when i've got the ability...

Yea, its a tough decision. I guess for me in 340 days of sun per year riverton light doesn't bother me, but if I travel with it, it will... I'll for sure be interested in hearing your experience with whatever you try!
