So you obviously don't work for the feds.

We're required to "face the danger" when turning around and "park in a manner to expedite escape".

As a result a lot of my co-workers park their personal rigs head in.

    Call me a conformist.

wife always freaks out because of how comfortable I am at backing into spots quickly as opposed to her not being able to back up her car at all.

I usually back in most of the time it seems easier to me, maybe because i am used to bigger vehicles ( had 2 rams before my tacoma) is there anyone from ups on this thread I remember hearing they train their driver to back in whenever possible to make it safer when leaving.

Usually try to back in. Most people at my school don't understand why. The only people who back-in are the one's who own trucks and one of my friends who wishes he had a truck.

How do I park? Typically with a lot of complaining about how poorly everybody around me parked. Don't people know what those lines are FOR?!

But, I always back in. Unless I can pull through.

I back in whenever I can. When I go shopping or something I will pull through the spot and park as far away as possible. Of course it never fails that as far away as I park some jack@#$ will park right next to me, with empty spots all over!!!

Kinda of off the topic but does anyone else seem to get crap gas mileage?

I have never walked past a vehicle that is parked like this without spitting on it. If you want to protect your car go park where no one else is, and on an end spot.

Nerf bars are awesome guards for other doors... Unless it's a stupid 4 door car with the rear doors trimmed at the bottom for the rear wheel...

    I always back-in... Always.

It is actually illegal to back-out into a roadway or onto a public street, in some places.

Pulling-in is a sign of laziness, if you ask me... It takes more skill to properly park, backing-in.

And it allows for a safer & easier departure out of the stall.

I have been known, when going to the grocery store and seeing "That guy" parked across two spots, to snag a handful of creamers in the deli and, if his douchecanoe vehicle is still parked thusly, pour them into the air intake at the base of the windshield on my way out to the truck.

In Florida, that takes about one bloody day to start working.

Back in. It's hard to see out the back of a double cab with a shell.

I always park out in BFE, backed in, taking up two stalls. Too many door dings to do otherwise.

I park in the back, so I can usually pull through. But I usually just pull in because I don't have patients or skill to back yet.

    I'm relaxed... ;)

And I wasn't about to search for proof, I didn't make the claim. That's his responsibility when he makes the statement.

Also, that may be an American statistic. But I still don't concede.

    *shrug*

I've looked down the business end of a couple of ready-to-go firearms with fingers on the trigger already. On a couple different occasions.

    I'm not terribly worried.

I'm fairly new to the Tacoma but I was surprised at how long the truck is. It just barely fits in most parking spaces. I back in at work so the bed sits over a grassy strip between the lot and a sidewalk.
