The font diff and ADD have a one way breather routed high in the engine bay next to the battery, that's correct. The transmission and transfer case have a Y connection into one breather. That breather just sits on top of the transmission. There really isn't any reason for those breathers to sit up high since they only expel gas. They won't help at all when you hit high water as the suction inside the case will cause the one way valve to close.

People think that re-routing the stock breather to a higher location will keep them from ingesting water into the case. They're not actually accomplishing anything as the water doesn't enter through the stock breather.

I can get more of these boxes if anyone is interested. They're electronics project boxes that I bought from EPO electronics in Houston. They were $10.

    Pretty much this.

No bueno dude. Watch out; I was sick for about a week and a half, got better or at least the symptoms subsided long enough for me to think I was better, and now I'm sick again. Something nasty is gong around.

    Hey, what's up?

I thought the seals would be able to withstand that sort of temperature swing. Interesting.

    Right there in clear lake?

I'd be interested to see how/where you mount the box. Pretty brilliant idea IMHO.

I'm sure the clearlake location will have them, but I bought mine from the Houston location.

Here's where it's mounted for now. When I get around to installing a snorkel I'll add a fitting to the top of the box and route it into the snorkel tube.
