Any body got any usuage updates on their new ballasts? I just installed my new ones in my FRS last night and through about 10 different times of on and off while making a few trips I'm disappointed in these. It's 5 degrees outside right now so it is a great time to test their firing capabilities and they pass that test do far. They have both fired right up everytime up to this point. But ....... They flicker really bad. Turn the switch and both lights come on, then the light show starts for the next 3-4 seconds. Light flickers pretty erratically between blue, pink, purple, and white. Gives off an appearance that they are gonna fail on fully firing the bulb but then they calm down and warm up. Now I know this isn't normally because I still have the best test set possible in my 2 year old 3five ballasts out of my truck and like the true champ that they are, they fire the bulbs right up with zero hesitation and zero flicker. Guess I'm not give it a few days and see what happens. I still need to test my other 2 ballasts also

I can't seem to get mine up and running for the life of me. Flickering & ballast issues are a nightmare, if I bought a new kit from TRS would it come with the problematic new ballasts? Or are there certain ones that are malfunctioning?

I am having issues with the replacement ballasts I was given. One of the new ones won't fire at all and the other won't fire first or second at times and will flicker when they do finally fire

What would cause my halo to do this? The strange thing is it's not burned out. I turned them off and back on and it fully lit.

Jb weld. I have no idea how I'd get them off if they have to be replaced.

I have a question for all. Now we known people are having ballast issues. I had a bad replacement ballast and decided to open it up( since I have placed the order for a new one) but there is a rubber type material inside the ballast to prevent movement or damage to the components. Now I'm pretty sire everything should be covered in the material not not like the component in the bottom right corner. I do know trs isn't responsible for the ballasts, they just receive the shipments from a supplier. I just want to see if trs has any knowledge on this and if it may be the issue with some ballasts..

Ha join the club.lol I had a faulty halo and basically everything ima jb weld into place. But I got over the issue. I just rock my projectors like so ↓u2ydyzer_122097d8fac566ae72892ae176a7cc3b61384f2d.jpg
Also if you do have a bad halo trs would replace the halo and could probably a new shroud if needed.

If it does this again I'll go that route since the shroud will probably be ruined getting the halo off

Yeah that's why I posted it in here, hoping Andrew will see if. If it keeps doing it I'll contact TRS directly

Mine have been doing weird stuff too. Single LEDs not lighting but then lighting again at a later date.

TRS sent me a replacement, but I really don't want to dig back into the housing to full with it. If it gets really bad I'll probably swap them out.

I'm not 100% sure the LEDs came back on but it is random LEDs that are turning off.

Mine are about 8 random LEDs that don't light up.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense.... except for bad LEDs. Just odd since the fail rate on LEDs are really low, and I have about a 8-10% failure rate on mine.
