It's cold, 7f feels like -4 and only getting colder. Gonna be -31 by morning

 

It all comes around in the end. Still here now.

A old wise boss of mine used to say as a joke when we would pass each other in the hallway hours after all the others had gone home "long hours are no substitute for hard work". We would both chuckle and go on our way. We were laughing because we both worked our asses off and worked long hours doing it.

At some point I could see myself running a company like this one so that's my goal. Mid six figure salary by my late 40's early 50's would be spectacular. I saw my one boss's paycheck and almost dropped on the ground (not exaggerating). I still have a long way to go and much to learn before that would even be a possibility, but there is a chance. Out of the 7 brothers and sisters running this place they are all in their early 50's and none of their kids are going to take on the task.

Oh you mean like this weekend when I take my mom to RI to pay our respects to our fallen family members?

I just get drunk and/or have sex to unwind. Works GREAT! *hint hint*

Hi Connor, how's the New Year treating you?

 

I'm good. It's crazy warm here. I shoveled the snow berm left by the grader at the end of my driveway in gym shorts this afternoon. It's 31F at 8:30PM and forecasted to be 44F tomorrow.

Need to study a little for my HAZMAT recert Wednesday, soon as I find the motivation. Won't take long, we deal with the stuff regularly.
