    There ya go....

So the Aussie Land Cruiser would end up being in the mid 30s here.

hmmmm.... GM has a twin turbo system for the 3.6 good for 410hp 369 lb ft in the XTS and 420hp 430 lbft in the CTS. If Chevy were to grow some balls and stick it in the Colorado that could be fun.

    Different applications.

While the torque numbers are good, what's the RPM range and how wide is the power curve? I'm betting that's a fairly "peaky" power curve up in the 3k+ range. Great for performance cars, not so great for trucks.

Meh, easily fixed with different tuning and turbo specs. Even so, as is it hauls around a 4,200 lb XTS, an extended cab 2wd Colorado sport truck would be just fine.

    Uhm, no.

I've been complaining about the lack of a turbo diesel American Tacolux for *years*.

That recent "Oh, the redesign Colorado" crap is...well, just recent crap.

And, ya know, it's a GM truck, so its...crap. Until they prove me otherwise, which they ain't in 30 years.

While you're at it, I'll take Christina Hendricks, Scarlett Johansson and Sofia Vergara in the back for washing/waxing assistance.

    Some stuff...

Several of my buddies in South America have Toyota Hilux diesels - they're beautiful trucks and don't know why Toyota hasn't brought them here to the states . Release the Hilux here is all they have to do, the platform exists.

Of course, down there they also have the diesel Ford Rangers and VW mid-sized trucks (I forget the model name of the Vee-Dubs).

Sure explains a lot, when ya think about it.

If "the big one" came and half that idiot state slid into the Pacific our national average IQ would go up 10 points.

Plus that "11 million undocumented!!1!" would suddenly get much quieter

woo wooo.... first off its FEDERAL emissions standards that are making it to where the 3.0L D4-D i4 diesels that toyota has cant be brought into the states.

That same FEDERAL agency has also enacted urea tanks on new diesels....

    Its not just CA.
