test fitted the previous ball joint (the one that I returned). A little worried about the way it fits in the CA Collar, tried to get the boot on it ... didn't look like it would work well (the collar is too large for the boot to fit on the ball joint. Looking into universal ball joint boots though).

They look great, but they look brittle in comparison to the weight of the truck up front. How much did this set you back? I have been contemplating heiming my DJM uppers, wish I had before I installed them, but with my tires wearing even for almost a year now with respect to the camber at 1.6/1.7 I dont see the need.

should be able to hold. they use these on hot rods, and they have v6/v8's. Imo, as long as your not doing anything like hopping the hell out of your truck with these, your fine. I have even seen these types used with hotrod trucks/cars that have the Ride Tech shockwaves. Came out to around $200+ including shipping (Adj. UCA kit - $69.99 ea.(2); Small screw in ball joint $14.99 ea.(2); 5/8"x1/2" 1" OD tapered spacer $1.69 ea (need 8).

I installed an app recently on my phone that helps find angles. When I have time I'm going to take a flat board and put it against my rim along with the app on my phone to see hoe much camber I really have. Was trying to see how much camber the other day and I think it's about 3/4 ... 6 .... idk lol

No shit, that was it, that would be cheaper than me pulling the uppers out and buying heims to weld in on top of repowder coating. You got links to part numbers and website to order as well as length you ordered and what your camber is now at? I have access to alignment rack so I dont have to worry about finding angles. These come zinc coated right? How do they work with the drop arms in correlation to the balljoint angle at the spindle? Pics by chance?

As of now, the current pictures are of when I started to post again. I am unfortunately still waiting for the ball joints I ordered (had to send one in picture back because the cotter pin wouldn't go through the ball joint hole to lock the castle nut). As for the way the ball joint sits, I have yet to install/or test fit. No where to do it really :(

Why did you go 11 and 12 and not center it? And how much drop you got?

What you mean relocate? You are most likely gonna want the set of 12's as I might want 11's or not, need to measure. Still need to figure out if it is 12" to full adjustment or at full collapse.

The reason I am confused as to why he go 11 and 12 is that our uppers are centered on the spindle.......

I mean relocate the mounting points for the uppers higher prolly by an inch which requires red rolling higher I don't plan to make a custom mount but it will give a better ball joint angle for sure

And I also to wonder if the measurement pertains to the arms being collapsed or extended I would figure that means collapsed but then again I'm not sure
The adjustabes would be nice to really fine tune the alignment and I wanted to relocate so my jdm upper stop touching my coil I should post a pic it's bad dude my driver side is super stiff cuz of it

If the ball joint on your DJM arms is not showing any abnormal wear then you should be fine with the stock upper control arm mounts. With the adjustment you will push the arm further away from the strut so, theoretically, you shouldn have any more issues with rub if you buy these. Buying the QA1's are narrower btw ;)

Did you sign up for an English Grammar class?!?!?!??! ;)

If they are tore up then yeah, you are gonna need to relocated the mounts to on top of the frame rail, which means you are gonna have to need even longer arms than the 12"

    Shaaadddduuupppp haha

Yeah I thought bout putting it on the rail but I don't plan to fab a mount our factory mounts are usable the UCA is mounted on the bottom of the mounts I'm only going to raise it a inch just got to make sure everything is centered the only issue I'm affraid of is the two vertical mounts are connectected by a horizontal piece on top when I relocate I hope when the truck is on the ground it doesn't touch it if it does then ill notch it probably

I also thought of having a guy cut and extend the djm UCA instead of making it adjustable just weld a new piece make it longer

Send me some quick sketches of what you are talking about doing, and the second idea wont work. Unless he sections it in the middle and then sleeves that section. It still wont be as strong as cutting the hard mounts and hieming instead. If you want you can buy me the current set and then heims and I will heim my set and ship them to you..... Then again you would just end up spending more this way instead of just buying the new arms....
