This is why we are still getting OT and large fires in January! I swear this is the fire season that won't end and next summer is looking worse.

There was just something on the news talking about sending local CF crews to the fire up North.

Yeah they are sending crews and we sent a crew from the TNF. It's tough for us trying to get folks together this time of year. There is also a CF incident going in Humboldt so thats got resources tied up too.

I guess I don't think about the effort of recalling seasonal FF during the winter. Must be difficult if they're off doing something else.

Humbolt is where everyone was headed. Hopefully, they get some rain this week.

This is the worst water year on record, period, exceeding the 1977 drought.

People in the Bay Area tore out lawns and landscaped with gravel that year. We used bathwater to flush the toilet and water the rest of the yard.

They sacrificed a traffic lane on the Richmond bride to pipe water from San Pablo to Marin.

People in Sac who don't have water meters don't realize this.

Your water rates will be raised to encourage conservation.

Do your part now and build habits. Water your yard early in the day, and make sure it is all hitting the yard, not concrete and running off into the gutter. Don't bother washing your cars unless they are really bad. Turn off the tap while you brush your teeth, pee in the shower, you name it. It all helps.

Meanwhile, the gov't geniuses continue to encourage people to move here...There are maybe 25,000 new apartments coming on line in addition to the 5,000,000 square feet of office space that's nearly ready. And the stadium.
