Grounding out his signal somewhere. I am 80% sure it is the mounting stud. Cheap part and we will see if that fixes it. It was a bit of a pita to attempt to use a multimeter in the dark when it was 20* hunting for the issues. Only other thing it could be is a bad cable but I'm not sure thats the case yet... on Sunday when it's 70* we can toss of some flip flops and open a cold beer and figure this out easily.

 

Aaron.. I have my old honcho body because I bought a new one and painted it black. You would have to order the rear cage setup though because I'm using mine. Now you can roll with us

 

I have 18' of cable and a stud yours if you want em

 

Let me see what magic we can drum up with just the new stud.

Easy, the new kit comes with the window maskings.. Cutting bedsides and wheel wells.. make sure you have curved scissors and you will be good to go

 

I used to have an H2... loved it till it burnt up. My Buddy rich had one too... we would run them hard! DAMN IT!!!!!

By what you've described, at this point, the radio is suspect... If you have a magnetic antenna, use it to troubleshoot, stick it on the roof and just run the cable through the window, roll the window up and check SWR. Sounds obvious I know, but you might not be thinking of it, and that'll at least isolate you're issue so you'll know for sure if it's the antenna, or the radio.

You said it's already done the same thing with a Mag mount though, so that's what is making me think radio issue. Good luck

 

CVT tent came in . Who knows when the rack will be done. Hasn't started bending tube for it yet.
