Mine has a small blower to pull fresh combustion air from outside and power exhaust. It also has a larger blower to circulate indoor air. This one turns off and on as needed. Then there is the auger for feeding pellets, this is set by a dial on the side of the stove.
Running the pellet stove 24/7 burns less electricity than running the furnace, which I run once a year just to make sure it still works

Indeed. I even have one of those trick heat-powered fans to help circulate the heat.

It's actually a Lopi stove. It's the Endeavor. I believe it's the second largest stove Lopi makes! It's our main heat source for the family/living room, dining room and kitchen!

I mounted the thermostat for our LP gas furnace in a hallway around the corner to maintain 58 in the bed rooms and laundry. At 5am the gas furnace is kicked up to 60! I oversized the bathroom heat runs to ensure my wife and daughter will have warm rooms (68) to shower in! (and to be sure they don't make a eunuch out of me!)

 

Nice set up Motob. I need to expand my wood storage capacities and will be making a similar shed soon.

Oz, your appreciation for madrone is soundly based. Oak and fir are more plentiful in my local but madrone does exist. I recently found a "honey hole" with approximately 25 cords in a stand of snags. We'll head back this weekend and haul a few more cords out. I'll post a few pics start to finish for those that aren't familiar with the species.

It hasn't been too bad. They are all on the north side of the hill and were competing for daylight. Hence straight grain and the larger limbs are in the upper third of the tree. It has been a dream working on these trees.

Ya I totally agree with everything stated here. Definitely some hybridization it seems with the locust, and those thorn wounds are irritating and will sometimes cause drainage and pustule formation with deeper wounds.
Around here mulberry is decent, but nowhere as dense and good as most oak species I've worked with.

And yep Oz love his DCLB and his madrone

 

No black, mostly grey with a little red. I'm quite a ways from the ocean which possibly has an impact on coloration and species variation.

Here is picture of the wood from my "accident" just before Christmas. As you can see, it is mostly light grey.

 

I sell a little. Most of it is for personal use or a few elderly friends.

True, no sense in letting it go to waste. It will be past prime soon. As you know, gathering wood is fun anyway.
