    3xLocked, lifted, well used

Don't overtighten the center pin. They strip very easily. Nice work on the fender trim.

I used a little of "The Right Stuff" on other body panels that I've cut. I bet your could do a really narrow bead then put your trim on top...

ah thats not a bad idea..the trim i used tho is super tight so i think it would just scrape it all off..ill prbably just paint it with a brush.

    thanks Bob!

So my drivers side fender is done and im going to start the fire wall soon. Not really happy how i did the fender. Think its too much cut..but i wanted to cut enough as im hopefully gonna be adding LT this year  and i know my up travel will be much higher then stock. so hopefully it all works out.

im still torn on if i should try the passenger side a bit different and see what i like better and maybe just order a new driverside fender as its a tad damaged anyways..idk yet.

No kidding. I imagine your write up would go something like this:

    1. Wait until it's 1:45am
    2. Stand 4 feet away from the fender, visualize the cut.
    3. Step up to the fender.
    4. Start cutting along the imaginary visualized line.

well calling it a night. can't believe i am still cutting on the drivers side. Thought i was done and ready to start making a cut out. Had just cut off a bit of my sliders and threw the tire on for one last final check..and bam..its like i had barely even cut! WTF! had cleared fine all the other times..till then..sheesh..kicking my ass so far..I think my caster is set pretty far back but i need to cut a lot more and feel comfortable with it with LT coming hopefully..sleep time.

Yeah have fun with that. I hated it. So much to cut through, sawzall won't work, and an angle grinder doesn't fit. I ended up basically chopping it up little by little, I can't tell you how many cut-off wheels I went through.

yea yours goes much further in towards the center of the truck then mine right now..and the outer edge is higher which is where im hitting now..

i have gone through 2 cut off wheels so far and 4 sawzall blades..gonna by shorter sawzall blades next tho. 4'' or less. the 6'' ones where just too long.

driving me nuts. My timelapse vid is like almost 3 minutes..which means i have been working on it for 6 hours almost..sheesh..stupid.

hopefully the passenger side will go smoother.

    Well shit.

Not gonna lie, after seeing everyone's tub job I can probably do mine without even stuffing the tire. I've seen where everyone cuts...just take a giant chunk out, more than is totally necessary and boom. Done

    NO

do not do that. You need to pull the CO and check yourself. Everyone has different alignments resulting in different amounts cut. Mine looks nothing like Jons. Or Pauls. Or Travis's. Not to mention you'll be putting in used tires. so you probably won't have to cut as much as others with new tires. and your doing 13.5s and THAT is gonna TOTALLY change how your tub job ends up.

X2! Everyone's shit is different! You know this. Do it right the first time so you won't ever have to do it again. Cutting sucks but rubbing while your wheeling sucks more

Although they're cheap and I don't like to buy stuff there very often, this little guy was quite impressive and I wonder if it would make things a bit easier when trimming the firewall. Cuts through sheet metal like butter and easy to control. [IMG]

The problem with the sawzall was with the reciprocating action, the blade would constantly impact the sheet metal behind the sheet metal. Wish I had a plasma cutter.
