TORSPD: NEVR

can't do weekends for a while. family in town this weekend, wheeling the next two weekends after that, and then i have a 12 hour mountainbike race the weekend after those. ain't no rest for the wicked i'm just about completely free week nights though.

 

We can make it happen. Pick some days, and I will check my schedule as well. Preferably one of the warmer days coming up. Lol.

 

yeah, getting tired of this cold nonsense. we'll see what the forcast for next week looks like as we get to the weekend and go from there.

 

please define cold, as looking at your weather from here it looks warm, like shorts and tshirt warm

 

comes in waves. supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow, yet yesterday morning it was cold enough to do this to a fountain down the road from us

Shit...we had -50° wind chills and -13° temps here the last two days.

 

thats cool the way the water froze on that fountain but it still looks warmer then here as there is no snow on anything

ya but here when theres no snow on the ground and its -20 it still looks warm out, i know hard to believe but its true. and its 2392 miles from where i am to Houston.

 

so probably about 2k in north/south separation. we have job sites all around remote canada. while it's a beautiful place, i'm a warm weather guy, and hope to only visit, and never be there long term for work

 

the cold here really isn't that bad as its a dry cold unlike the a damp cold that is bone chilling even at -10. think of it like how the humidex works with the heat but in reverse

 

completely understand. i was warmer standing in 4 ft of snow, in single digit temps, than i was in 40 degree, windy, wet weather on the coast of florida.

 

I know exactly what you are talking about here in the dez, only problem with the dry cold is my mucas membranes are on full alert during the winter months her and my hands/skin drys out like a mothafucka.

 

You'll find your ute to be a lot more responsive with your aftermarket ems controlling the throttle, I did, the Toyota computer puts a lot of lag into the actual throttle body position when compared with the pedal position. Its supposed to make driving smoother though it also makes it slower.

I finally got my 1gr turbo hilux tuned too. It made 339 whp and 665 wtq at around 8 or 9 pound. The tuner said he was pretty conservative with timing and afr's to make it a bit more reliable when off road.
