I believe that's right at the beginning.

I think you are overcompensating. Need to run BFG g-Force Rivals.

I haven't been, but everything I have heard is that Tahuya is good for stock trucks, so bring the Taco, and have the wife bring the coolers full of beer in her FJ.

BTW, I am coming in my truck which is only equipped with LCA skids, so basically no armor.

Looks like it from the pics. Actual location is kind of down around Tacoma just starting to come up the peninsula.

Just tell her that your presence has been formally requested that day, and the only way you can make it is with the truck. If that doesn't work, then tell her that this is the last real chance you have to see me before I move away forever. Maybe I will bring brownies or cookies for you...

Yup, that's it! If you want to see MOAR PICS to get an idea of the area...

Like I was telling Zach, the first time I went there with about 6 other rigs, and one of them was a completely stock reg.cab, 4cyl., stick (sportsguy - Duane) and he was able to make it through just fine.

Sliders are not needed, but I will say that people have gotten damage up there from just being careless and not paying attention to trees etc. If there's a sticky situation, just ask for a spot.

On some other trips, I have paid the price by being careless or too hasty/confident and not asking for a spotter  :anonymous:

    Doooo Eeet!

:woot: I always like having a non-Taco in the group. It adds some variety and shows the differences in capability between the rigs.

For example, Mike and I went on the FJForums Naches trip, and there was one hillclimb all the FJs were scurrred of, and struggled with. Mike and I crawled up (well more of a rev-limited throttle-stomping ascent for me) in our Tacos like champs...it made me feel

Doesn't count if the stock trucks all work together in 2wd to pull each other through because it is still not 4hi or lo.

Watch out for when I pick your rear wheels off the ground Ben...

I would say yes, but I have a stop in Fife on the way down. Check with UncleArt, 13greysled, and JeffRoy Jenkins.

    1. You bastard. I am jealous.
    2. Talk to Mike Chickenmunga. I thought I read somewhere that he knows a bit on how to do that.

Did you see my "Hidden CB" write-up? Tearing apart the lowered dash and center console is not bad at all, haven't done the upper/center portion though. If you are interested, I could give you a hand sometime.

This gives some a very unfair advantage over me. I am still on my dunflop at20 factory tires that are well abused. Sounds like an interesting challenge though. :burnrubber::cheers::drool::devil:
What the hell, game on. I take the foolish bet Tallon.

Gotcha. That is definitely possible, as Stallone said.. I was looking to mount my SAR radio in the same spot, but I was lazy. Plus, I don't own the radio so I didn't want to hack up the plastic to make it work. If/when I get my own personal HAM or 2M unit, I might put it in the same spot.
