    Same issue I had. I few mins with the grinder and all is good. Yukon has even stated that it doesn't affect the warranty.

    dont get me wrong i eventually will have a truck ill put on the pits again but it's going to have 54 inch tires and a 12V cummins pushing them.

    ok lets break this down..

    if we break
    -mud: nasty mud covered parts with mud falling off the truck into your eyes and you covered in mud after it's fixed.
    -rocks: i change the part wipe off my hands and go wheeling with minimal dirt on me..

    motor
    -mud: lots of high rmps and fuel consumption
    -rocks: lots of low rpm (meaning my motor sees less abuse)

    at the end of the day
    -mud: you wash your truck
    -rocks: i park my truck

    so im lost please tell me on how mud beats rocks

    Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's
    Mud requires little driver skill and just isn't fun after replacing electrical parts and other thing covered in mud. Not to mention it is terrible for bearings, frame rust, seals, etc. Rock crawling requires technical driving skills to navigate terrain. I have more fun going 1/2 mph on rocks and trails than turning ridiculous amounts of rpm in a mud hole.

    Yeah I'm sorry, mud takes zero skill. Mash the throttle and steer then get yanked out by your buddy with a Jeep. Couldn't get any worse than that :eek:

    For a combination of go-fast and rocks with 16" coilovers, what would be good for up/down numbers? 6 up/10 down? 5 up? Something else?

    As it sits (and if rolling on 40s) If I ran 6" up, the frame at ride height would be ~24.75"

    mud is fun for me. and ls3 running 500+HP running high in the rpms is way more fun.

    allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
    Take that ls3 and drop it into a 2wd long travel truck and rips some dunes a desert. Way more fun then mud.

    5-6 inches of up travel will be plenty imo. 10 inches of droop is gonna be ridiculous:cool:. What kind of bumps are you going with?

    Haven't picked out the bumps but I think I'll mount them where the lower links intersect with the frame.

    I feel the same way. Mud is meh. Makes an absolute mess of everything. Rocks are fun as hell to crawl around in.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    If you can get 24.75" at the frame with 6 up on 40's do it! it's all about balance and 6 up 10 down is great with 16's

    I'm at 6 up 10 down in the rear and 4.5" 9.5" down in the front and it works very well on everything I've put in front of it. And that's at 23" at the frame on 37's
