Does anybody know of any open trail areas near the 310/South Bay area? I recently redid the suspension on my 2001 Prerunner, not looking to bash too hard but I would like to get it dirty and have some fun. Maybe some fire roads? I was checking out Barstow and it looks like I'll be going there in a couple weeks, but is there anything a bit closer for just a day run? Also anyone who would be interested in a short day trip? I'll bring the GoPro... :burnrubber:

Your best bet is either Gorman, Azusa, Santa Ana mtns, or Cleghorn.

It's way too urban around here...sucks.

Seriously...I found a patch of dirt in Palos Verdes the other day

Thanks for the tips, I forgot about Gorman. That would be fun

Not sure that you can...Although they are wide enough to do so. I'm sure city vehicles drive around up there...just gotta find a way in. I think there's a way to get in above the San Pedro masonic club.

Majority of the hills in PV are part of Nature preserves. I've tried poking around up there last few wks.

i say take the effort to find a legal OHV...

if you go to Barstow, be careful if going weekend of 1/25 as there is a race that weekend and you don't want to be that one truck that accidentally ends up too close to the course and getting in trouble...

It would be nice to have trails locally. I live in the South Bay also. Closest thing I found was a dirt access road in Compton behind a city park.

I'm thinking my first run will be Azusa OHV once I get the truck ready

Azusa is a fun little area. I would meet up with a group if you got some people together.

We actually start above ground construction on Monday so no more South Bay dirt adventures for me.

What are they building there? I live in Redondo and haven't been paying attention.
