    It did take awhile, but if I had all parts on hand. The axle completely assembled be fore making one cut I could have finished in a few days. Kids, wife, weather and work slowed things considerable.

    I wouldn't jump into it without having another vehicle, one missing piece and you're waiting a week to get parts from Cali.

    That all being said I'm really happy with mine. I need to make a couple minor tweeks and it should be right where I want it. At least until I link it someday ;)

    Just out of curiosity, for Mike's benefit, what did it take to get 33s under your Runner when it was IFS? (I'm assuming those are 33s in your sig pic.)

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to rain on your parade. I'd love to see your truck SAS'd and 4WD converted. It'd be awesome. It's just, I wanted you to appreciate the magnitude of what you're looking at. It goes well beyond just bolting on some new parts. The only reason I so blithely suggested Mike do it was because he was ready to do the same thing with his B2, so I assume he has the facilities, equipment, and skills to handle it.

    Lord knows if I had the facilities and equipment, I'd have me a set of plate bumpers now, lol.

    hey I can dream cant I? :rolleyes: I would love to be able to do all of that and have the 4wd conversion, but like you said...its a lot of time AND money. Stuff I really dont have right now. I dont have a second vehicle nor the skills to do any of the fab work, so Id be shit outta luck if I tried it. :eek:

    Slightly cranked torsion bars, add a leaf in the rear and some trimming. The tires are 33/12.50/15 and I think the rims have 3.75 inches of back space if i remember right.

    I wouldn't say I have the facilities but I'm pretty sure my boss would let me use the shop on the weekends and I have all the equipment there that I need and as for skill I'm pretty good with a mig ,torch , and plasma and I get lucky with an arc welder every now and then

    I'm thinking of getting a locker for the rear, but don't know what to get. I need some advice.

    dont forget about the air compressor too, you need that to even have the locker work, didnt know that until I did a little lookin around on the ARB locker and found it out, I really want to buy one

    true that, I didnt air down at Citrus...kinda wish I did, felt every bump I went over. Wasnt too bad, next time I will be airing down though
