Different as CWO or LDO, you're a technical manager. I once hyeard a JO tell an LDO who was cutting up with the guys, I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The LDO says you'll have to explain that to me I'm not Academy educated. The JO says just saying the navy dressed you up but didnt clean you up! The LDO says I'd normally dismiss these guys to teach you respect but instead your arrogant ass is gonna be the object of a lesson and commenced to ripping him an ass.

I have more bean and nicotine in my veins than blood. I can't function without either. I have a cup now and don't ever wash my cup!

8? shit, ill be lucky to make 7. My MOS is easy to make it to 6. I did that in 6 years, 3 months. 7 tho, is completely different. i know guys that have been 6's as long/longer than i have been in the army. its all because we have like 64 slots in the whole army for the MOS (15Y - AH-64D Avionics/Armament/Electrical systems repairer. we get to play with the 30mm cannon :D).

perfect example. we had like 130ish people eligible for the promotion board to 7. they picked up 16.

The MOS we work directly with is the "crewchiefs" for the Apache and they had 98 eligible people and picked up 63. they also have almost 4x the amount of 7 slots than we do.

However, they are about retarded and i wouldnt ever want to be a 15R (AH-64D Systems repairer/crewchief). We call them window washers/lickers for a reason.

also, we tend to be around Warrants alot. in germany and korea, its not that uncommon to see the pilots and the maintainers hanging out together at a bar. wont see it much in the states, but OCONUS, its more normal since not alot of places to go hang out thats local.

The best officer out there will do exactly what their NCO/PO tells them to do 80% of the time, and real him back in the other 20%.....and ALWAYS have his back no matter what! And of course it should always be reciprocated!

Not so much..... It would not be your job. You have to maintain your position in the Ward Room so you can be taken seriously and take care of your guys. They do the work... you keep the shit out of their way.

I was selected for 8... couldn't commit to over 1 extra year obliserve. Had job waiting already waiting for $10K more per year getting out.

Yup! It really just isn't needed when the goats have horns and do the job right!

    LOL

    Just what I was saying!

Aaron... Please don't confuse NY and NJ. NJ is just below NY's Arm. That's why is smells so!

Hope you all have a great time at Shoe. I'm heading to the frozen north (Bflo) in a couple hours... be back in 10 or so days. Oh... don't be getting any ideas... since my toys can't go with me... someone will be here to use them if needed! [IMG]
