Doug, you may have answered/stated this before, but what do you use for a center pin?
That the only thing that has me stumped , the leaf clamps are very simple and straightforward

 

Well you can go to National Spring or ORW, both are in El Cajon, or you can go to home depot, get 3/8"' dia. fine thread bolts with nuts to match (grade 5) knock the corners off the head of the bolt & your good (bolt should be 3" long)

The ready made ones from National Spring are probably your best bet, they're about $5 for 2, tell them you need the 3/8" thread size

I used a socket cap bolt/screw from Lowes, it's got a round head. Like so.

I know it doesn't matter probably but the reason I don't use those is because of the lack of material in the center (hollowed out), just takes away sheer strength from not having solid head into perch, but no biggie..

 

could i order just the leaves from you? i can cut and do all that nonsense but i can't find the right width leaves anywhere.

 

What about leaves that don't really offer lift? I don't really plan on lifting my truck. Running stock suspension w/ 31's. Really would just like to replace the old toyota ones. They have some miles, so just going back to stock would probably offer more then enough lift for me.

 

Check out some Dodge Dakotas, they were 3/4 ton & sat pretty low which would indicate a thicker , slightly wider spring (still within specs) with little ARC to its radius

Ever tried to find a set of jeep commanche(cherokee pickup) springs to use, my old one was 2wd and spring under but the truck set up high to be 2wd almost like a prerunner.
Also some of them came with a big ton package with somewhere around a 1700 payload.
The jeep trucks arent as common as a s10 or dakota though and Ive only saw one of the hd package ones.(they have bedside decals)

Edit, I remember the leafs seemed to have a ton of arch.

 

As is the nature of SUA, sometimes they make good donors for SOA, but usually too much ARC
