    .
When you irrigate your landscape, run the sprinklers for only as long as it takes for water to run off of the landscaped area (like onto sidewalks or other areas), the second it starts running off, stop watering, if that is not enough time then split the run time and add a second start time on your timer, this is called "cycle and soak", gives the soil time to absorb half the water before getting the other half, usually one to two hours later is fine. Water as close to daylight as possible but not in daylight.
Look to water light sandy soil less runtime more days and heavy clay soils more runtime less days. If you're watering turf seven days a week you are doing something wrong and you need to call me. Most deep rooted shrubs on spray systems should be ok in most soils with three days a week max.
I design, build and maintain the most efficient kinds of irrigation systems that can be had and have been working around timers that are self adjusting for over ten years now and I doubt there is a question I can't help you with. There are rebate programs out there for eliminating lawns, changing to drip systems, getting self-adjusting timers, check with your local water district, call their conservation dept and ask them about not only what they currently offer and how long their funding may last but also about any future programs. AND, If you live in the Solano County Water district's region (Vallejo, American Canyon, Fairfield, Vacaville etc), you can call and tell them you want a rebate for a new controller, sign up for the program and they will send me out to do an audit at your house, for FREE!. I will show you more about irrigation and conservation than you ever knew. You don't actually have to buy a timer even right then, I will qualify you to buy the timer at some point so you can then get your rebate but if I walk onto you or your folk's property and see 1500sqft of turf, i'm gonna say get a timer or rip it out because it will cost a fortune to water this year, i can promise you that.

Dang Scott, got me rollin brother!

Good point Chris! In my neck of things 2013 was the driest since 1878, freaking scary! The fire situation is a double edged sword for me. OT equals college for the boy but I could lose my home with one start. I can't even clear brush because it's to dry for a burn day. Praying for rain in the Sierras!

Just finished installing a new water heater for a friend.

Be sure to check your anode rods, flush your water heater and check for leaks as part of your annual maintenance. It's expensive and messy to have a water heater leak and mess everything the f* up.

Shitty pic at night. Threw a couple D-rings on the front today, just need to paint the frame reinforcement brackets and it'll be complete. Can't thank Billy enough for the great work and install.

Met up with MJ today too so he could grab the bumper cover. I still have the aluminum crash bar, tow hook, and other miscellaneous brackets from behind the grill if anyone wants them.

Thanks again Kris! My buddy was super appreciative. He said it's 1000x better than what he has. Hopefully you can make it out to future meets. Welcome to NorCal :D

I need to vent.....plus let my hear your opinions.

So I live in a court and the mail box is in front of my house. My neighbor has 3 cars but they park 1 in the driveway, 1 in front of my house and 1 in front of the other neighbor. It's been over a yr and it never moves. Finally we put a note asking them to move. They do but then park their other car there. The wife bitches to me about it. So I wrote a note saying how rude it was for them to spread their cars all over the court. And to park in their 2 car driveway. I said its rude to block the mailbox for the mail carrier and other neighbors driving up for their mail. Yeah I don't own the road but that's just courtesy and respect for your neighbors. They won't confront me but to my wife when I'm not home. She doesn't stand up to them. Now she supper pissed at me for writing the letter. And now it's all my fault. Can't win. FML.

End of rant. Thanks for listening

I would've gone up to talk to the neighbor and ask politely instead of writing notes because communication is a lot easier that way, and maybe you would learn why they only park on the street, but I definitely see how that's annoying. Sorry for the frustration!
