A few weeks ago. They're only mounted on top of the bumper for now. Need access to a welder so I can weld on the fog light tabs.

    Yeah....

I plan on getting a welder as soon as I have a garage. So hopefully that will happen this year. A friend of mine works with a guy that has a welder locally, so I'll probably use his for this. Just have to find the time to do it...

I've been wanting to try that mod to see if it makes a difference in my steering play. I need to replace my tie rods before I do that though since the jam nut on the passenger side is frozen causing my steering wheel to be a little off... Haha

Didn't even notice them in that pic. The triple hoops and halos look so badass...

Yeah, they look really odd there since they're so small... Haha

Thanks! I still smile when I lock/unlock my truck and see the halos light up haha

Now when are you getting a light bar in your bumper??? :D

Yeah, I saw your posts on your build thread. Not so good with ruling out what is wrong either... Haha Still trying to figure out what part of my driveshafts are squealing.

I know I have at least a little bit of play in the steering shafts. But it's hard for my to tell if getting a new steering rack would make my steering even tighter, or if new tie rods will do just fine. Guess it's really just replace a few parts at a time until it goes away.... Haha

Already greased them once only a couple months ago.... But I was halfway through a road trip and it was about 30 degrees out so I probably missed a few zerks.... Haha It could be the carrier bearing going out on me though also.

Hmm, honestly if you can't get it figured out without replacing tie rods you might as well just get a new rack. Can't hurt and will probably make your steering tighter no matter what. Boxrocket just purchased on after doing what seemed like a lot of research.

Yeah, that's what has my thinking it's not my CB and it's just a missed zerk. But if the u-joint is making squealing noises, it probably needs replaced... Haha

Yeah, not cheap. But in the long run you could save yourself some money since it will have to be replaced someday. Unless you're going to SAS..... :D
Thanks! Still a work in progress!

Yeah, agreed. Although after what I've already done to this, the only way I'd get another off road toy would be if I sold this one. Which I don't want to do... Haha I think if I keep this truck long enough, in about 10 years I might SAS.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. Would be fun, but I'm all for getting out and exploring while taking some fun obstacles. Not beating around a slamming down on rocks all the time.

My ultimate goal for this truck is to be my camping rig. Take the future wife and I on road trips to different places like Colorado, yellowstone, Yosemite, etc...

Haha I still want 35's... :anonymous:

I'd rather get a bunch of other stuff done before then though. Just depends on how much longer my 33's last. I've driven around 12,000 miles on them in about 10 months. That's with a lot of trips home plus driving all the way to New Mexico and back. So in theory I should get another 2 years out of them.

Nope, it'd be really nice if i could afford sound deadening right now, but i just pulled the carpet to clean it with a steam cleaning vacuum.

My next mod is gonna be OMD springs, will i need new shocks with 2'' of lift?
