LifeTime LED Headlights??

I hope these easily fit in the tacoma, it's already tight space

 

There's an extra "ballast" box similar to hids. I see no reason they won't fit. I don't understand what you mean about tight spot.

 

I have found it rather tight on the passenger side, if there was a big hump on the back of the bulb it would be a lot harder to properly install

 

These are the 9006 bulbs for a Honda Accord, not necessarily Tacoma bulbs (I have aftermarket lights). For comparison.

 

It is not the LED itself that generates a lot of heat. What generates the heat on these is the part of the bulb that provides the power for the LED. It DOES generate some heat, thus the need for cooling fins and fans. Keeping the control board cool is key to getting the higher output LEDs to last for a lifetime warranty. It is almost NEVER the LED itself that fails, but the control circuitry that fails instead.

Yes I realize that, and that big heat sink is what concerns me for installation in the tacoma

 

The passenger side I had to loosen the washer tank and slide it out of the way to install. Once in the tank fits normal

 

anyone have these yet? Beside Sandman

did you get the rubber seal to fit over these?

 

The set I got you were able to unlock the flange and remove it. Slide the rubber boot on and then replace the flange

Are the set you sell the same as the Lifetime LED ones? When you said unlock the flange, what one exactly?

 

I just installed mine a few hours ago, but won't really get to test them until the morning. I had a little problem with one of the LED light driver boxes, but it is currently working as of a few minutes ago (The low beam did not work, I fiddled with the plug and tapped on the LED light driver box, then started to work. Messaged Lifetime LED about the issue).


I took off the plastic sleeve with the metal bulb alignment/mounting plate to put the rubber boot on it. Just twist and pull off. I had to apply a little force to pancake the rubber to get the sleeve to lock back in.:

I didn't want to mess with the tight space, so I just removed my battery to install the driver's side LED


I removed the two bolts for the windshield washer fluid tank and moved it aside to install passenger's side LED

 

Finally got them installed today. It was pain in the @ss. I really don't like the design of the 9003 bulb. It just feels really flimsy. The light works so will test it out tonight.

 

I can't imagine HID is much brighter than this. This LED is very bright. I thought about doing HID previously but this worked out much better.

 

I like ^ wish they made them in 8000k. How do they look when you are facing them?
